What a weekend. My Cats beat USC on their home field. I get to listen to the Shockers win another game and tomorrow my wife and I go to Kauai for a week. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a leave early guy and I didn't tonight but I was tempted. That was a real snooze fest towards the end. I hope we do the same thing to UMKC when I go up there Wednesday.

I think that the Pitt game was good experience in knowing what to expect from the better teams. We played very bad in that game and I think they learned that they need to play strong as a team and have gained an identity from that game forward.

And even though the competition has been lacking lately, they have been totally dominating these teams, which I think is a good sign. As opposed to struggling against them, which we have seen in the past.

Will they be able to translate that same play mentally against stronger opponents? We shall see, but at this point, we seem to be able to call on more weapons.

The bottom line is that we are a much better team than anything else HCGM has had by FAR.

The only disappointing part of the game was the 3-pt shooting. After Hatch's 5-7, everyone else was 1-13.

Btw - about a week ago another team beat SC Upstate by roughly the same margin - Miami. Of course its wildly inaccurate to base strength by common opponenet but it is pleasent to see.

What is also pleasant to see is an EASY 20+ point win when there is so much room for improvement from reliable options.

JT was all but MIA again. Garrett had his first below average game in 5. Toure' was off his best game (by a lot), 1-13 from 3, too many fouls etc.


All those areas where we know we can improve and still a blowout win.
