I agree with 22 and the others who say that Garrett is actually good at getting up and down the court. In fact, he is quicker and a little more agile than PM at this point in their development. GS is more athletic than PM was as a sophomore.

Look, I love how PM played and GS is starting to play this year. GS has two and a half more years with this team.
But the comparisons have to stop, it is absolutely freaking ridiculous. They played on two separate teams that were several years apart. Are two completely different types of players with different skill sets. Both have been / are / will continue to be very productive on the floor for whatever teams (pro for Paul) they play for.
At the bare minimum, please don't compare them until both have graduated and we can look at their entire body of work as Wichita State players.
GS has improved dramatically since he got here, and that's a great and very encouraging sign, and he will only get better. The "haters" have already been proven WRONG. Don't try to defend it by talking about how PM was supposedly better. It's comparing apples to oranges. And it is STUPID. Both of these guys played for the GOOD GUYS. By the time GS graduates, both will have contributed to many WONDERFUL Shocker memories.
With this post, I propose we lock this thread. The haters were wrong, GS is becoming a complete player, and still has work left to do over the next 2.5 years.
Do I hear a second? You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....
.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

He is faster than miller as far as foot speed and will be quicker with his move by next year. He has a better verticle than Paul by far. Paul could hardly dunk! Garret will learn how to jump more quickly instead of loading up and that comes with practice and experience.
Now, would you please take your thoughts somewhere else, I think most of us are all tired of readin your BS.

There is nothing constructive about discussing the negative aspects of a player on a team that you root for. Mesage boards aren't wholly constructive.
Garrett Stutz is a hot point for discussion because there are still so many questions surrounding his ultimate potential. Nobody knows his "ceiling", so a game-by-game analysis is interesting for purposes of identifying a perceived game improvement or a persistent deficiency.
