Interesting final look at the Old Spice Classic. Looks like Creighton was on the weak side of the bracket and couldn't even muster a win... Michigan only beat Creighton, Xavier only beat Creighton...and of course, Iona only beat Creighton. Creighton was truley the worst in that tournament, no ifs, ands or buts about it. Not only that, but all the ranked teams who beat Creighton will be lucky to still be ranked after tomorrow.

Edit: I guess I didn't realize Dayton already dropped out of the top 25.

Those heady days of the early 00's where Creighton basketball could be expected to win a game or two in the dance, only to disappoint, are a long, distant memory. Now they just disappoint--or just 'appoint', depending on your perspective--from the get-go.

There's something to be said for getting your ass handed to you, but it appears as if Creighton got more ass handed to them than they actually had. It's like someone at Old Spice had to get on the phone and call for some extra ass to be delivered, and in the meantime had to use some substitute ass from the greater Orlando area.

I wonder what Creighton did with all the ass?

I'm sure P'unk absorbed a lot of it.

I'm not a religious man, but God, if you're up there: please let us beat them like we're their alcoholic stepdad at Qwest this year, with a nice lob off the backboard for a slam when we're up twenty with three seconds to play. I'd also like them to win their play-in game, so we get another chance at them in the MVC tournament.

Xavier shot a blazing 50% (9 of 18 ) from 3 point land and Iona did even better with a white hot 56.3% (9 of 16). Makes you wonder if Creighton is weak on defense this year.
