I played against Antoine in Jr. High and High School. He fouled me in Jr. High and I hit both free throws. He actually was a nice kid for an opponent. I will definitely be at MTXE!

Can we get this stickied somehow? I would like to make a list so we can find as many of these guys as possible, and even for the ones we can't, it would be nice to remember their contributions.

If by chance you have some way to contact anyone, please offer help to the department as I am certain they would appreciate it.

A couple of names that frankly HAVE to be contacted for a variety of reasons, imho, are......

      1. Zarko Durisic

I know he was not the star while he was here, but damn it he is the Director of Player Personel for the flipping T Wolves. AT BARE MINIMUM someone should be hitting him up for some old school KG unis for the next Shocker Auction. I could go on and on about this.

      2. Mike Jones

Coach Turgeon visited with him in Greensborough in '06. Seemed to be doing well and certainly has his place in history.

Here are some other names that we need more info on if anyone knows, and in no particular order:

John Kobar, Ray Shirley, "King" Richard Williams, Ronnie Ryer, Lawrence Howell, Auguster Jackson, Steve Kalocinski (sp), Zoran Radovich, Chris Boyd, Mike Denny, Tony Martin, Sasha Radonivich (sp) and Mike Gibbs.

Posthumous rememberings for Karl Papke and Ozell Jones of course.

Does anyone remember the name Cepedia Evans?

I assume Jay Jackson, Bob Trogele and Aubrey Sherrod will be back. X and Cliff for certain.

Mike Jones was among the gracious shocker legends sitting with my group of fellow students for the games in '06 after we had played! What a time...

I don't remember the details, but he was murdered in California with a shotgun, maybe about 3-4 years ago.

Isn't it "James" Gibbs as opposed to Mike Gibbs?

Some highlights of X, when men wore shorts to play basketball and not the gang banger baggy attire that they love today.
Let's hope he can hit a D-1 Curve ball!

Netball is somewhat challenging as it places an emphasis upon throwing accuracy by forcing participants to stay on the spot in which they take possession of the ball.

These rules were relaxed to allow the less-skilled-than-English-girls American players to run with the ball..

We are in agreement on that those gay baggy gang banger shorts just reinforce it!

Wish you guys could have broken those shorts out when Illinois State played at Koch. I think it would have been great to honor Coach Smithson by having both of his former teams don the MTXE logo on their shorts.

You're not the first to float that well thought out test balloon RB.

I too would have much preferred the ISU game but I think it had more to do with the timing of when the game was played (BU is perfect in that regard) than who we were playing.

                                But you are spot on.

MIldly related trivia question....in the 82-83 season the Redbirds were the only team to defeat WSU in the conference season, spoiling a perfect season by stripping (some say blatantly fouling) what Shocker guard with just a second or 2 on the clock as they went for a game tying (or winning) shot? Who stripped the ball for Illinois State?
