WICHITA - WSU Athletics and the Wichita State men's basketball program announced on Wednesday its plan for "Bringing Back MTXE."

This is shaping up to be a fun day. I wonder where Antoine is though? It'd be great to have him there too...

I get the feeling Carr may never show back up which is unfortunate.

Why? AC comes as close to being Mr. WSU basketball as anyone who ever played there. I'm very appreciative of what AC did for WSU basketball and will never forget it.

I also noted that Randy's name isn't on that list. I hope he plans to be a part of it too, as he was an integral part of that team as well.

I wonder what's up with Antione?

I got the feeling from listening to Randy and Gene on SoundOff that both of them would like to pass the MTXE banner to Marshall with approval. Marshall does a pretty good job of instilling the values and attitudes behind MTXE.

Bummer. I really hate to hear that about ANY former Shocker, let alone one with such a storied past with us.

I heard on KGSO and confirmed it on Goshockers.com that 'Big Dog' Carr will indeed be here in January for MTXE night!

That's great news. He's a hometown guy, and an important piece of those years and it will be great to have him back in addition to X, Cheese, Cliff, Randy, etc....

Definitely something to look forward to!

I'm more than happy to have been wrong. Big Dog is loved in this city. It'll be great to have him back inside the Roundhouse one more time.

Really hope he makes.....MTXE isn't MTXE with AC or X.

Kinda like having a Final Four reunion without Larry Bird.

AC was the catalyst for the success of the early 80's, without him it might not have happened. He decided to stay home and then brought some of his new buddies from the all star games with him. I loved watching them all but he is the face of MTXE.
