I have to differ with the majority. The video is outstanding to watch ( My wife even tears up) but the volume level and lack of increasing excitment creates a void. By the time the Shockers are anounced, there is a hush over the crowd. I am sure that is noticed by the team and Marshall, and the cause for calling the crowd out the other night. It is to bad we don't use RoboWu to again ignite everyone, and keep the volume up.

On Marshall's radio show last Monday he asked the crowd to get louder and start clapping during the the video prior to introducing the players, instead of just sitting on their hands.

As an aside, you can check out last year baseball intro from IS, which is pretty neato.
I have a big problem with Intake Studios on the choice of music for their pieces. They do wonderful video pieces and the music they choose works perfectly with that video -- if the only purpose of the video was to be watched passively.
The problem is that the videos need to serve as a method of building crowd excitement, noise and unity. That should be a primary concern.
Intake Studios too often programs music that doesn't maintain a steady pulse, the volleyball opening being a prime example. The crowd tries to clap along for awhile ... but the music has held notes that, though they work fine with the video alone, derail the potential of a Koch Arena crowd clapping together in unison. The result is that a portion of the crowd stops clapping while others plod gamely on, clapping softer to try and reacquire the beat. It's pretty pathetic, really.
Thus ... put me down as a "no" vote on the 2009-10 basketball opening. Powerful stuff to watch for a Shocker fan in any other context .... but a big "FAIL" for creating the intimidating atmosphere Koch Arena is famous for.“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'”

You wanta pump people up?!? I was actually surprised that WSU didn't use "I Gotta Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas. A number of professional sports teams are using this in their intros. I was in Denver, watched the Rockies against the Cardinals, and they used this song very effectively with a video before their huge fireworks show after the game.
