  • Forget all the rivalry stuff - are there spies set up for...

....the scrimmage at the Koch? I'm sure both fanbases would love to hear any news about what happens.

This is probably the toughest "ticket" I've ever seen. I doubt there will be anyone there for a length of time long enough to cull any valuable information.

We must rely on Paul S. for it. Marshall can talk about if he wishes. He just can't talk about the score and stats if I remember correctly. No way somebody is going to be able to spy, or should they try. It's a violation.

Sully can't get in to watch. No press allowed. Myabe he can pick up some "rumors" after it's over, but we can't get his objective viewpoint.

Could we get our local fire marshall on board with the need to do an inspection of the arena proper at a convenient time? Or perhaps its time for the engineering department to do an inspection of the exposed steel beams, you know, for safety. ;)

Hopefully they won't find any of the wireless spie cams that I installed during Shocker Madness. ;-)

That's correct he can't watch. But coach Marshall can talk to him about it. Of course that's up to the coach.

All I remember hearing last year is that our guards dominated and your front court had the edge. With our greatly improved (at least on paper) front court and the same guards I'm very interested in what happens.

Your team isn't the only one that's improving.

WSU guards had it handed to them at last years scrimmage. This year it won't be so much of a mismatch.

I didn't think coach could talk to the media about it.

He can talk about everything he wants EXCEPT for scores, stats....etc. He can give a generic overview how the team as a whole did. I'll just be more interested in how he compares to how the team did this year compared to last year.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall watching Kyles matched up against Clemente.

Does Kyles talk a lot about green cards or something? :D

Right now I think both KSU and WSU are going to be good indicators to the other team of how things are progressing. I think that is going to continue with the coaching staffs of both schools.

The scrimmage is a good measuring stick for both schools. It's a valuable training and practice tool and it's economical, considering the proximity of the schools.

At this point, I'd prefer to keep the scrimmage and not schedule each other. It allows the coaching staffs and players to be friends and allows a carmeraderie to develop that can be beneficial in the scrimmage. Scheduling games would change the dynamic between the schools.

Let's use the scrimmage as a learning tool and reserve KSU for that. If KSU does the same thing, then both WSU and KSU get the greatest benefit from the scrimmage.
