I'm not a NBA fan, but it should be fun to watch, there are about 12 of us going.

True the only time I really watch the NBA is during the playoffs. But in person should be a bit better.. and what the hell else is there to do on a chilly Tuesday night? Watch Dancing with the Stars? How about the World Series of Poker?
We always want "big-time" events in our community and not going to things like these will drive similar events away.
I'm out.Deuces Valley.

Yes, row 34 tickets were $11, but I am not about to sit in row 34. I am not a big fan of seat poaching anyway (as it chaps my ass when someone is in mine).

I thought it was a well put-together game. Very first-class. The only downside was the refs blowing their whistles every 5 seconds that effectively ended any flow whatsoever and the fact that it was a blowout.
Other than that, it was some pretty good ball. The starters were mixed in pretty much throughout the entire night (opposite of what the Royal fan said). It sure beat sitting at home doing nothing. Decent crowd too. It was definitely an NBA type crowd. And it was hard to get into it at first because there wasn't really a true "home" team.
I'd go to another one if/when it came back.Deuces Valley.

Attendance wasn't too bad; my guess would be in the 7500 - 8500 range. First half wasn't fun to watch. The game reminded me of the WSU/BU foul fest a few years back. The starters played through the 3rd quarter. Second half picked up the pace and was more fun to watch, but those refs sure loved to stop the action by calling fouls. Howard is one big fella and Vince Carter was fun to watch. The Magic looked damn good. The highlight of the night was probably the Honey Bees. On a side note, the clientele for a NBA game is a lot different than a Shocker game....it's been awhile since I've seen so many wannabe thugs in one place.
As for ticket prices, the $11 tickets were sold out, not sure where all those were. I think you could get a decent ticket for $26. The line for walk up ticket sales went out the ticket office door and down the sidewalk. Not sure how strict they were on seat moving, but when we got there, they asked to see our tickets before letting us go down to our seats.

I had night class last night, and was pretty perturbed that they didn't have any type of security directing traffic.
Talk about a pain in the rear end trying to get out. You'd think that WSU would make it mandatory that whomever uses Koch arena has to hire some type of traffic attendants.
