If we are including JUCO transfers, Jay Jackson and Tony Martin.

Jay was just a tough hard nose player who did all the little things that make a team great.

Tony, one could argue, was one of our best point guards at WSU.

two of my favorite juco's, were tony martin and (sweet) lew Hill. i agree with shocklight tony was one of the best pg's at wsu. Lew was so versital at 6' 5" he played every where and was a real fan favorite.

I always liked Ryan Martin's work ethic & attitude. He always came to play.

Leonard Kelley was a pretty good JuCo transfer. There was another Wilson that played for Harry Miller who had a nice time in the NBA. Sam
Smith was a teammate of Dave and Nate's via JuCo who might have been just as ferocious as X.
I believe Chris Grill went to Marist. He played for Randy Smithson at Butler for 2 years, went to Marist and then transferred for his senior season back to WSU to play for Randy. Chris was a HS team mate of mine (kinda). He was a senior when I was riding the pine for the freshman team. Nice guy. Very intense in practice.

The Wilson that played for Harry Miller was Bob Wilson. He was pretty darn good.

Fridge had great skills. Savvy? Not so much. Poor decisions. Too emotional.

In that same vein......maybe Ryan Bradley oughtta get at least an honorable mention.

LD Swanson might oughtta get a mention for those on the way in. Maybe not the greatest, but he hit two game-winners during one of the Cessna Classics......one a 3PFG to beat Gonzaga on a Friday night, then a court-length drive and baseline jumper to beat The Citadel the next.

                          He was a juco trsfr.

Fridge made plenty of good decisions / his point guard numbers are pretty unreal (check the stats). Unfortunately, his blow-ups are the only thing we will remember.

This past year, during a radio broadcast there was a topic on the best transfers and I was surprised Mike did not mention Fridge. He went way into the list, including players that barely made it off the bench. He never mentioned the guy that almost average 10 assists per game.

Thats why your a pro! Fridge in my opinion was in the top 3 point guards ever to play for the Shox!!! Yes he had his problems but the boy could play! Plus he was very fun to watch.

It's too bad he only had one year at WSU. The year he blew out his knee we had NO PG depth. I believe Stevens and Matt Clark had to play PG the entire year.
