  • Best Players Who Transferred to WSU

Who would you rate as the best BB players who ever transferred to WSU from a Div 1 school?

I missed too many years living out of the country during the 1960-1990 time period to have an opinion.

We have had some fair to decent players in the last 10 years who filled rolls, but the only one in my opinion who really stands out is:

    Kyle Wilson

Kyle immediately comes to mind. I'll have to think about others that would be considered "stand-out"

Randy went from Illinois State to Cowley County, then to WSU.

For the sake of the thread and discussion, lets include transfers from Jucos too. If we do that, I would have to say Aaron Hogg.

Agree with Kyle Wilson, although Karon Bradley was another big contributor.

Maybe not the best of the bunch, but I enjoyed watching Bret Wise, who I think transferred from Idaho.

                      Gaylon Nickerson, LD Swanson.

And for his intensity, Chris Grill.

Swanson was from a JC in Arkansas and Nickerson was from Butler CC. Grill was the only one you mentioned that was a Div. I transfer (from Buffalo).

Who was the guy that transfered from Marist?

Leonard Kelley was a pretty good JuCo transfer. There was another Wilson that played for Harry Miller who had a nice time in the NBA. Sam
Smith was a teammate of Dave and Nate's via JuCo who might have been just as ferocious as X.

Definitely not the best but one of my favs. You HAVE to love a kid who does all the little things and does them well. I'm not sure I've seen anyone draw as many charges as him either.

Karon Bradley is one of my favorite players of all times. Granted I didn't follow WSU earlier than 2000. He reminded me of Ramen Noodles. Just soak them in water and BOOM you have food. Or with Karon it was Insta-Offense.

He had the "swagger" of a winner.
