I honestly feel sad because some people will never experience the thrill of winning a national title. We should all be proud of the great job KU does in representing Kansas (which is the state's best university academically and athletically).

Where's the proof? WSU is every bit the academic school KU is. We have the best music program, best engineering programs, and the best education program in the state. Our business school is world-renowned. Students leave WSU with more experience in their chosen fields, strictly because WSU can provide work experience. What work experience can you get in Lawrence?

Academically, sticker price is KU's biggest advantage. But wait, you can get an education that's every bit as good at WSU for 10k less.

Athletically, KU has the cash to support a (until recently) football bottom-feeder, an also-ran of a baseball team, and a basketball powerhouse. Frankly, I'd rather have WSU's system: no football, a baseball power, and a rebuilding basketball program.
Deep in the heart of couldn't give a crap about college basketball-land and I miss the SHOX.

Ok the KU fan is a numbnut let me preface with that. He could of just easily came and asked how WSU is looking for the year and if they could match up with KU.

Obviously, WSU could not match up with KU this year, as a lot of team will not be able to. My question is why is he bringing this to the WSU boards and not the KSU boards?

We don't have football and our baseball program is 16x what theirs will ever be. Also, that one year wonder football team up there is going to get shat on this year. I believe most of the defense is gone and teams will figure out how to shut down 5 foot nothin' Reesing.

Another thing is, this is an athletic board, why is he bringing up academics? I would let him go and be lonely. The only sport KU will have this year, as it does every other year is basketball.

                      THAT'S IT!

It's because he's probably a 15 or 16 year old kid living in the SE Kansas megalopolis of Chanute with nothing better to do except fish for alligator gar.
Both are fine schools with athletic programs and National Championship(s) with which they can be proud.
More than likely a kittie fan anyway.

In which particular academic areas of interest to you is KU better than WSU? There are some disciplines where KU is better, some where KSU is better and some where WSU is better. I know a Stanford professor who has visited KSU, KU and WSU and far prefers WSU. (The chairperson of the department at Stanford of which the mentioned professor is a member has been to WSU many times; I had dinner at his home in Palo Alto last December.) I met a postdoc at Stanford in December who interviewed at KSU and was told privately by a KSU (full) professor that KSU was not a great place and this postdoc could do better. (This person knew about WSU and was interested but that WSU program was not hiring.)
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Kurukshetra University. Found a little bit of info on it at this address:

                              一人で現金化する方法について説明していて、一人でできる方法を載せているので参考までに覚えておいて欲しい部分でもあり、参考になっていたら知識として覚えておくとともに計画を立てて、計画的に動いていくようにして欲しいです。一人で現金化するので気をつけておきたい部分もありますが、事前に情報を見ておきスムーズに動くようにして欲しいです。

Looks like they have a decent music program :)

Actually, the whole KU thing thing does boil down to athletics and academics.

This has been going on for 70 years or more and nothing new has been said here which hasn't been repeated a dozen or more times. I gotta admit though, it's hard not to get caught up in it as well.

But you have to look at the real reason behind KU's obsession with WSU. It's been said and it's true, KU would have undoubtedly beaten us probably 18 out of the last 20 years, similar to what they have done to KSU. What KU and their almighty regents have nightmares about though is the recognition WSU would gain by beating them in basketball. And WSU recognition is the one thing that they are most frightened of.

And why? Because WSU is the sleeping giant in Kansas sports. We are the largest city, with the largest population and certainly the city and the university, if they can ever get their acts together, will someday not only surpass KU in size, but very likely in both athletics and academics. And that in my humble opinion, is what KU is scared of.

Sure, every 15 to 20 years, the Shockers have spurted forth for a few years and achieved success. But we never had and apparently don't today, a 5, 10, or 15 year plan putting forth the goals that this university needs to acheive in these areas.

We have relied on our one AD and one BB coach and when one or more of them departs for greener pastures, we start all over again from stratch. Surely, we can do better this.
