Our facilities were horrible and we were in deep crap on many fronts.

Charles Koch would not have put his name on the building if not for the growing confidence he had that the program was on the way up.

If you or anyone else goes on and on about what should or should not be discussed here, they will be on the fast track to at least a temporary ban. The same goes for anyone continually bringing up a topic just to be a pain in the butt. It will work both ways.

There's just no place for it. Let us (SN staff) make the call on what can or cannot be discussed. And the Turgeon subject has already been dealt with.

Once the season gets rolling, I'm sure this forum will be dominated by talk of Shocker hoops. Oh sure, if aTm does something great or lays an egg, someone will surely bring it up, and the "other" side will rip into the post in rebuttal. Its part of the very typical "I have to have the last word" and "look at me, look at me" mentality found on message boards.

Personally, I'm sure I will take casual note of how aTm does this year, but only the time it would take to find a line score somewhere. I hope MT continues to find the success and happiness that he seeks, but aside from that, my interest in aTm hoops is no more or less than I would have in any other college hoops team, save for my other alma mater, South Florida. I don't expect much in hoops out of them, but my USF allegiances are so giddy about the football team right now I couldn't even think about USF basketball.

I wish. GM finally got a retro right. I was very disappointed in the GTO. As hard as it is to admit, Ford nailed it with the Mustang and T-bird.

i actually agree with ripem shocks, i am kind of getting sick of the hows MTs doing post. honestly i can care less how he is doing. Now i care about how gregg marshall is doing. MT did a great job rebuilding this program, but he did kind of screw us when he left, first he said he will convince the recruits to stay at WSU, but then he keeps our best recruit in while to come to WSU, ends up going to A&M. So while i appreitiate his 7 years here, he did leave gregg marshall with a mess, which he has done a outstanding job cleaning up.

If MT had stayed, there was a good chance Bowles would not have come. Once MT left, there was zero chance Denzel would be a Shocker. Should MT have kept clear of DB? Possibly. But he didn't "steal" or "take" him.

How about giving Turgeon his own seperate forum on SN? That way those who don't want anything to do with him don't have to get surprised in the Men's Basketball forum. Anything to do with Turgeon and/or Texas A&M basketball would go there for those who do care to know and discuss.

Yes, I agree.

There is always the possibility that Coach Turgeon asked AD Schaus for permission to recruit Bowles, given Bowles reluctance to honor his committment. Possibly Schaus gave his approval. The information may not have been disclosed because WSU did not want to publicly acknowledge a precedent and its possible effect on future recruiting. I know. I know. If frogs had wings.... Nevertheless, I think it is possible. Coach Turgeon is so buttoned down, I just cannot imagine he recruited Bowles without some tacit approval from someone.

Those who say "don't discuss Turgeon" on here were not around in the 1990's when we were awful. I agree with others that he ranks up there with Ralph Miller in regards to what he has done for WSU. I personally hope that he kicks some ass at aTm and replaces Bill Self at Kansas. At least he would have the balls to schedule WSU then.
