    60Shock

My prayers are with you and your wife and let me add the doctors and staff at MD Anderson. May they have God by their side, guiding them during her surgery.

Have a great time in Paris!

You should really read Lance Armstrong's book "It's not about the bike." It might really provide some motivation.

      Best of luck.

Wus your daddy is right on the money!!! I have read it and it is the best book ever. Talk about a fighter, wow!!!!!!!!!! Anyway I will pray for you. But most of all I will thank God for people like you for reminding us what really matters. We get caught up in the way of the world and forget about our King who can deliver us from anything. I will beg him for your case and will praise him win we win and when we lose, no matter what. You bless God and God will bless you! go shocks.

Appreciate the kind words, SF. Actually, the vast majority of time we are on the same wave length. So what's a little bickering between Shocker fans? It'd be damn boring without it.

Hat tip to all those who posted their recovery stories, and to those who will need to remember them for inspiration in the future.

Just a final update and June's and my heartfelt thanks for your prayers and kind comments.

She underwent her operation on May 28 and her Dr. removed the entire cancerous tumor and went way beyond the area to be on the safe side.

Looks like she will be released this Friday and we are going to spend another week here in Houston prior to flying home to Daytona Beach.

She will then undergo three months of a treatment similalr to Chemo in order to kill off any possible cancer cells which may or may not be lurking around. Her Dr. is quite optimistic that she will make a full and complete recovery.

The MD Anderson Hospital complex in Houston is absolutely wonderful and unique. I can't endorse them strongly enough for anyone needing their services.

Thats great news man...stuff like that really puts everything into perspective. I literally have read this thread and thought "Why the hell do I get all worried/uptight about miniscule bullshit...mainly job-related? The best I can do is the best I can do...and the worst they can do is fire me or something." I'm glad she's doing better!

                            That's great to hear SB.

There's a lot of stigma attached to cancer. It's no longer an incurable disease and no longer an automatic death sentence. It is a nasty disease and recovery from survival is sometimes difficult.

My thoughts are with you and your wife.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
