Oh well
Well now, don't overreact, 21.
This is not Iowa, not Oregon State, not Georgia. It's a very high profile school that has won a national championship in the not too distant past and believes it ought to be cometing for a spot in the final Four on a regular basis. Most coaches in most conferences, including the so-called power conferences, would go for the Arizona opportunity at the kind of salary we're talking about here.

Josh Pastner will be introduced as the next Memphis coach...
Pastner is known as an elite recruiter from his time at Arizona, where he played for and assisted Lute Olson before joining John Calipari's staff last offseason. This is his first head coaching job

Even though Pastner is only 31 he was coaching when he was 15. He had a business in his early teens breaking down game film. He only sleeps about 3 to 4 hours a day. The rest of the time is devoted to basketball. He graduated from UA after the first semester of his junior year. He takes the type A personality to a new level.
Only time will tell how he does at Memphis, but if he fails it won't be because he didn't give it 100%

What are Pastner's chances of keeping Xavier Henry at Memphis? I assume he is the one who recruited him.
Could this be a promote Frank Martin to keep Beasley situation?"Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media,
which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
