I hope Anderson says no -- but he may wait to see if Missouri can pony up enough money to keep him (using an offer from Memphis to do so). Trading a BCS conference for a mid-major (sorry guys) conference unless you are forced to doesn't make much sense. However, Memphis has a strangle hold on CUSA and seems to get to the Dance quite often. Along with the money, just might be enough to persuade him. We'll see. It's getting interesting.

Cal and UK are a dangerous combo. Calipari has never really had a big top notch job like KU, Duke, or UNC. I think UK could potiential end up dominating the SEC with Calipari.

I don't see Anderson leaving Mizzou for Memphis. Mizzou has a lot of young talent and great recruiting bases in KC, St L, and Chicago. Plus, Mizzou will pay up - they did for Pinkel and their in a BCS conference.

Mizzou has two three-star kids coming in that are going to be nice players but nothing like Memphis will have on its roster next year. He hasn't recruited much from KC, STL or Chicago and has KU and Illinois to contend with in those cities, so I wouldn't count that as a reason for him to stay. Memphis is in an NBA city. Much better recruiting base with access to anywhere on the east coast or the south. He'd be better compensated with a roster stocked with talent.

He's a good coach and it's hard not to like him. If he decides to stay at Mizzou, good for him and MU. But if he wants to win big in the next few years, he isn't going to do it at Mizzou. He doesn't return a double-digit scorer in Columbia, and doesn't have elite talent coming in.

I think Memphis is a better job that mizzou right now. Mizzou will have trouble making the ncaa each year. If he goes to memphis and can keep even 1 or 2 of the top recruits calipari has coming in(he has the #1 recruiting class), he should be able to dominate the conference for the next 3 to 4 years easy with no competition in the league to worry about.

Some here are assuming that Calipari's recruits will all still go to Memphis. Don't be surprised if they don't. Secondly, just because Calipari could attract top notch talent to Memphis doesn't mean any good coach can. If they don't get a marquee type coach or move to a BSC conference, that program could very well fall back to the pack. Former C-USA members thought so and Memphis is now the last of the big name basketball programs left.

Missouri loses a ton next year, their 2 top scorers in Lyons and Carroll, to me Memphis is hands down a better job

Thought I read somewhere yesterday that if Calipari took the Kentucky job, he would be taking his top two recruits along with a couple of existing players with him. Might deplete that GREAT JOB at Memphis somewhat if he does that.
