Billy Gillispie could be fired?

Im watching ESPN first take and Pat Ford is saying Billy G could be gone. I only post this here because Billy G. started the coaching cycle a few years a go, that eventually got us Coach marshall. I always was curious who would last longer between Turgeon, Billy G., and Marshall. i bet my paycheck its Marshall

If the UK job were to open up, I suspect the number of candidates will shrink. How would you like to walk into a situation like that knowing you may only get two years to turn it around?

Its a job with alot of tradition but at what cost. They have literally run off the last couple of coaches and may now fire the one they really thought could salvage the reputation. Apparently he is not a real media friendly kind of guy and rubs alot of alumni the wrong way. Maybe he just doesn't kiss butt well. Oh well lets just hope the next ky opening doesn't cost us another coach.

They need to hire a proven winner on the big stage, not another up and comer like Billy G. IMO the screwed up by firing Tubby but it's too late for that. Calipari would be a good candidate.

I'm not sure Cal would accept it if offered. UK will not look good if they fire Billy G after this season. I know they have the tradition and someone will want it, but I'm not sure they could draw in the kind of name they'd want at this point.
