Those people are desperate for a winner, and I expect he will produce one.

I don't know how I feel about this. I do know that Eck has for a long time held the Hutch job in very high regard, so it is possible that he persued it. Hutch had a very capable candidate in current assistant coach Dave Brown, who I expected to be the guy.

Eck expected to take over HCC men's coaching post

Please, lord, no. Not the once every three or four years dissection of the career of Steve Eck...

Lots of innuendo about Eck, as is often the case when someone has extraordinary success, but you'll have to wait a long time to hear real facts, Ricky. There is no better juco coach available anywhere.

                      from the Hutch News......

Eck's first Cowley team also led the Jayhawk Conference in grade point average at 2.95.
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

I don't think the issue has ever been how he manages his players on and off the court. I do believe he cares a great deal about them and wants them to succeed in life.

As someone above mentioned, it's the inferences made from some past circumstances that make people uneasy about Eck.

I am not sure how Juco rules on transferring work in terms of players. Can Coach Eck bring some of his Cowley players to Hutch? If so, do they have to sit out a year?

Transfer rules are much different in JUCO. That's why Hannah played a year at Paris JC and then the next at Chipola. No need to sit out.
