  • so i wonder if there is anyway to find out how many tickets Stanford has sold for tonight??

no matter how many people are at Koch tonight...I just want it to be loud and get the win!!! Then if we could outsell Stanford - we could host the cardinals!!! Or --I suppose Boise could upset them. Looks like both home teams in the CBI last night went down!

Wow, that's sad. I'm guessing the University made a $40,000 mistake by not spending a couple grand on some TV spots.
very sad! Too bad! I hope WSU doesn't lose money over this whole deal.
I'm not sure what everyone is sad about. Do you think the little apple is going to sell more than 8000 to Bramlage tonight? And just think, they're in the mighty NIT. Face it, we've got strong fan support. Nobody else across the nation is going to sniff 8000 in the opening round of this tourney.

Did any of you catch Notre Dame vs. UAB last night? I'll guarantee there weren't more than 1500 there. Total.

Since Maples Pavilion only seats 7,200, it would be a stretch for them to beat our attendance anyway. I saw on their message board where they expect it to be about 50% full (maybe).

            • The noise level will be about the same, because it will be 8,000 true fans that will give it their all, similar to the UAB game last year.

If can I add, all parking will be the same as it has been throughout the year. Keep your passes and plan ahead if you don't have one. Remember, we may still have other home games yet.

                      Prediction
Wichita State, here we come! Stanford went 10-0 out-of-conference against similarly mediocre teams, and was 5-0 during that stretch as a double-digit favorite. One area where Johnny Dawkins appears to have the clear early edge over Trent Johnson is taking care of business against teams the Card should beat, so look for Stanford to do just that tonight, taking out some of their frustration over the Pac-10 season on the hapless Broncos. Look especially for big games out of Josh
                      1. neither of our teams have even played yet.
                      2. really?

I don't think there is going to be much of a parking problem tonight anyway with the students out and no classes.

I don't hold our fans to the low standards of KSU or any other school. We average over 10,000 fans per game and that needs to continue!

                            • I don't care if we have 5000 or 10000 honestly. I will only disappointed if it's as quiet as a morgue there. That's my barometer. If it's loud I'll be ok, but if it's quiet like it was in our non-conference....then I will be pissed.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

                              • I fully expect a great crowd tonight. 8000 True Shocker fans will blow away any crowd we had all season. If the same people show up tonight that did for the Florida State game, tonights crowd regardless of size will be the best of they year. If we get the Stanford Game then I fully expect a rockin sold out crowd for sure that could rival the FSU game.
