  • I think there is another factor in the slow sales, i have not found posted yet. The economy is not very good here in Wichita. i have four season BB tickets i have had since 1975. In two weeks i will be layed off. I can not at this time justify spending $84 on basketball tickets. I know of at least 4 other familys (all season ticket holders) who will lose a family provider, employed here at Cessna, when the 2nd layoff starts 3/31. My son in law is a contractor. He had 12 people working for him 6 months ago to day he has just one other person besides himself. He also will be unable to attend the game, he and my daughter had 5 season tickets. Money is tight in wichita, and as much as i bleed Shocker gold and black i will not be getting tickets. I am no less a fanatic shocker supporter because i find myself in an economic situation i can not control.

Last season they averaged 1862. I couldn't find numbers for this season. I'm sure they're out there and I'm sure they're a bit higher considering how much better they were this season.

Well, I hope we have a full house. We all know how "quiet" CKA is with a full house.

              • Spring break doesn't help things. They could sell them at sonic between 3pm and 5pm during Happy Hour. I was trapped in their parking lot today for 30 minutes just for a half price Diet Dr. Pepper!

                    let's go Shockernation.
Considering the last reports of 7 to 7.5k I think we're alright.
If we have 7-7.5 after today, then I am thinking with the ones sold tomorrow and walkins tomorrow night....you are right, we should be okay!

                      • At the baseball game they were encouraging ticket purchasing and I just assumed I guess that they were sold out.

So I was surprised to come here and see we haven't even hit 8k yet. Not sure what to think about that.

                        • Another factor impacting the tickets sells are those heading to KC to actually see the NCAA tournament.

I think it means you cannot seen the action very well.

How hard is that? It's transparent and done in a way that people understand.
I agree with much of what you are saying, but its a violation of Visa and Master Card to charge the consumer a fee for making a purchase using a credit card. In other words, if a business posts a price of $10, they may not charge an additional "fee" if you present that business with a credit card. If they do just tell them that you will notify Visa that they are doing that and you will be surprised how quickly they don't charge it to you.

Also FWIW online transactions tend to be cheaper to a merchant than walk-in credit card transactions, so we should get a discount for ordering online (no labor involved and a better credit card processing rate).
