      I'll take our trendline over yours.

      But back to the topic at-hand . . .

      The Bulls rely on the scoring of 6'2" junior guard Rodney Price (14.3 ppg) who has eight games of 20+ scoring. Stat-wise he looks similar to Toure, who will have his hands full guarding him.

      They don't get much production out of the post, but I have no idea how good their big guys are defensively. They don't rebound well as their top rebounder among big men is 6'7" Max Boudreau with 3.2. Ramon should have a field day on the boards.

          Hmmm...

          Thanks, gojays. So nice of you to drop by. I'm sure you're fired up for Bowling Green as well, and that you'll be at the rental arena Wednesday night to help root your Jays on to glorious victory.

          Turns out we have very comparable opponents, as Bowling Green and Buffalo tied for the regular season championship of their MAC division. Buffalo had a much better overall record and higher RPI, so I don't know how the NIT chose the lesser of the two for its automatic bid to a regular-season conference winner (alphabetical order?) -- but take advantage of the scheduling break, as you guys have obviously done all year.

          :yahoo:

            Hey now lets not get all offensive because one of our teams made the CBI. You really have nothing to be upset about the CBI is very prestigious. I mean drawing names such as Troy, Boise State and Northeastern. Wichita is the jewel of the CBI you are truly lucky to be a shocker fan.
            lets go jays!

              Here's the deal. The Bull's are a formidable opponent but #23 plays for the Shocks. Clemente worked hard as a Shocker and this home game is the fruit of his labors. It is refreshing to hear the Shocks are 'pumped up' to keep playing and are not ready for this Season to end. Furthermore, it will be a 'jump start' for our young guns to begin preparing for next Season but gain some more invaluable team experience and wins yet for this Season.

                Thanks for visiting and the warm thoughts, go jays. Folks down here were REALLY rooting for CU to make it in the tournament and we're really, really sorry that you didn't get in. We're equally sorry that any meltdown our boys caused you all to endure at the end of our tournament game had any affect on the Illinois State debacle you next endured or CU's exclusion from the Big Dance. Good luck with Buffalo's runner up in the NIT first round! We're cheering for you and particularly that jewel of a student-athlete, P'Allen. He is truly the face of Creighton basketball! Truly.

                Oh, and good luck soccer and baseball, because everyone knows you guys will win the conference championship yet again.

                Keep on jayin'!!!

                  Here's the funny thing about a CU fan coming here to make fun of our game with Buffalo.

                  CU plays Bowling Green in the NIT. BGU finished tied with Buffalo as the MAC East champs. Their RPI is 156 whereas UB is 89. I assume BGU was declared the conference regular season champs to get into the NIT and relegate UB to the CBI.

                  CU had better win or references to the abyss will surely begin to surface. And yes, gojays, I'm calling you Shirley.

                    Why don't you crawl back into the slime pit you crawled out of, gogay, or is your board even too odiferous for your delicate nose.

                      I looked it up on sportsline and Bowling Green swept Buffalo during the regular season thus they were the conference champs. There is another team in the CBI that is under the same scenario, tied for the conference champ but was swept by the co champ.

                        Shirley would be too good for that axe-clown.......I know someone named Shirley who is still working and battling cancer simultaneously.

                        Here' my rebuttal for gojays........using logic that would be UNHEARD OF in a Creighton classroom

                        NIT = notNCAA
                        CBI = notNCAA
                        CIT = notNCAA

                        WSU = CBI
                        CU = NIT

                        NIT = CBI = notNCAA

                        Therefore, WSU = CU

                        Hope that dweeb from Omaha gets his panties untangled sometime soon.

                            I bet you were thrilled with your 11th seed placing in the dance, next to Dayton.... Oh what? You aren't an 11th seed? Well atleast you got to play in the NCAA's with a 14th or 15th.... Oh you didn't make the tournament at all?

                                Like those with a good work ethic, WSU will play hard and do their best with what's put in front of them. They will take advantage of this opportunity to continue practicing, get "tournament" experience for the young guys, and hopefully play a few different teams.
                                But, let's ensure we don't have to stoop this low again. I can understand missing the NCAA every 5-7 years due to injuries, etc... But let's not put too much glamour in playing Buffalo, or other MAC schools (is that their conference?) in a tournament ranked below the NIT.

                                Additionally, cut CU some slack. They have the longest running head coach in the Valley, and they constantly, consistently underachieve. There is no other program in the Valley that constantly underachieves worse than CU. I feel badly for them. They are from a nice midwestern town, surrounded by UNL (Big XII) fans.
                                Feel badly for them, offer them a kind word, give them a helping hand up, and then forget about them.
                                It's embarrassing that Shockernet gets into these pi$$ing matches with Creighton. It makes me feel our program and expectations have slipped when we compare/contrast CU with WSU. They are a nice little school folks, with a nice rented arena, and a nice polite coach in a nice midwestern town. Stop kicking sand in their faces - please.
