1.Standford is what you would call a "BCS" team, i'm pretty sure

2.3 years is a looooong time in basketball

    3. Taking 9th in the Valley (like we were predicted) would have been very discouraging.

    4. At this point, I can't see any shocker fan that is not absolutely stoked for next years team. The CBI is a nice way to get some extra practice in the way i see it. And hey, why not get more banners in the rafters?

    • So apparently the home games are decided by ticket sales? Seeding doesn't mean a thing or we'd be flying to Palo Alto for Monday instead of them coming here.

They don't seed the teams until the semis I believe. If they did we wouldn't have been hosting. That and it's all about the Benji's.

Agree with 1/2 of number 4. The Shox should NOT hang any CBI banners from the rafters, even if we win the who damn thing. That would be embarassing.

And since we can get those Benji's, we probably just keep hosting?

            • Its $eeding to the CBI, and apparently we bring it better than a high and mighty BCS team. Welcome to $hocker Country Stanford!

I can think of a few things far more embarssing. If they win it all, yes you hang a banner. Guys like Ramon will be back in that arena many times and if they can pull that off, they earn at least that much.

true, but HCGM said on the radio show they did get some nice gifts and banners from the officials of the tourney

I think he was talking about the stickers on the court and the banner that draped the announcer's table.

                        • Cool beans Cold. Here is one way to look at it. The Shox preparation for our future return to the Su-weet 16 started tonight at 21st and Hillside with an 11 point victory. We are now 14-3 at home this Season and we have reinforcements incoming for next Season that will only make us better both at Home and on the Road!!!!!!! Then if that is not enough---could we have twin or triple towers as well some fine day?
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

And they'll fill about a 1/4 of that for their first game.

I have to say it, but we should be 15-2 at home. That home loss to UMKC still doesn't sit well with me.

I kinda figured you'd perk up at the thought of the Cardinal visiting the Chuck. I wonder if the Tree and Wu will go at it?
