Yes, cold is obviously eager as he has already learned the fate of Creighton....so what other interest would he have on this board right now since he couldn't give a rats ass about the CBI? Let's hear it already, the suspense is killing him!!! He needs to get back to his 60+ inch HD TV!!!!!
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!
I'm happy we get a chance to win 20 games this year :D
A 20 win season reached by playing with teams that couldn't make the NCAA's OR the NIT...
Maybe we can get some commemorative towels at a Drake home game next year...
LMFAO!

Come now, what's funny is losing to UMKC. Anyway, I'm just saying, it's just a nice little benchmark regardless how we get there. Besides, I would not toot any horn or brag about winning this tournament. I'm only looking at this as an opportunity for our young guys to get more D1 experience.
Do you object to that COLD? More D1 games under Toure's belt can hurt can it?
And that's all this is.. just some practice.
However, in a perfect world we would just reject this silly tournament on principle. I would think all of you bitter Midmajor fans with your conspiracy theories would be wanting to reject this "invite" as well. Isn't this tournament just a subversive attempt by the "bigger" schools to create more separation between their program and ours?
Seriously though, it'll probably be on sports sunday if anything tonight.

I understand what you are saying, and I agree. All I am really looking for is additional game experience for our future Shockers here. Especially Toure and give Ramon a chance to play ball again in a Shocker uniform.
Again, I agree with you. D1 football is saturated with ho-hum bowl games when all it takes is to be .500 and you have matchups of Central Michigan versus Grambling State. Who cares? This is just another example of a key college sport being directed toward the same type of who cares postseason games.
I think if you only say to yourself that it gives our young guys more playing time against D1 competition then it will be easier to swallow.
"We have decided to pass on the CBI Tournament," said Boston, who said the school was invited to participate on Thursday should they fail to win their conference tournament. "We were given the opportunity to host but I wasn't confident that we could generate the revenue that we would need."
For all of you that don't speak french I will translate:
Nobody here gives a **** about the CBI and we would play in front of an empty building. There isn't enough shameless people in our entire state who would come and pay to turn the lights on...

why would you ever turn a bid down to play longer?
No one would.
Thankfully, Cold isn't high up on the WSU basketball program chain.
