Did anyone really pay attention to his break away dunk he had against us?

When he went up for the dunk, the ball was in his right hand and he had his left hand on the back of his head. Couple that with his field goal try (kicking the ball into the student section) at CKA his freshman year, I think he well deserves the names P'unk or Nimrod.

Why can't Dana control this Nimrod?

Easy. Dana sold out trying to upgrade the talent and didn't get a classic fit as he has been so successful with over the years.

Dana absolutely gets what he deserves here. He brought in a kid that is everything his program is not and, as Jack used to say on the coaches show many years ago, they go together like gasoline and water.

      Lay it on me Jack.

Too stupid to control, too good to bench.

        Sorry guys but....

I cant really complain about the hand behind his head.
I fully expect our players to do the same against a team that is not a rival.
The kick yes. But a show off dunk? Even though it sucks it was against us but how many of you would complain if it was Ramon? or Toure'?

          P'Rod.

P'Rod Poutypants (for those of us with young kids into SpongeBob).

I would be the first to register that complaint if one of the Shockers did it. This is classless, unsportsmanlike behavior and one thing that drives me nuts about sports these days. Athletes play to TV, instead of going about their business. Pro athletes are clearly the worst.

Didn't Jamar Howard slap the backboard and get a T for it. I don't think the showboating of P'Rod is any different.

Act like you've been there before.

I know PJ did it his freshman year. Not sure about Jamar.

Didn't Kyles do it his FR year?

Pj got his T his senior year in Creighton of all flipping places. It helped contribute to him fouling out of the game.

I stand corrected ... it was PJ. Jamar had his own issues, mostly with his mouth. I still think those demonstrations are unsportsmanlike.

Don't you see a pattern developing here?

Ramon, has never done any show boating. Toure' has three more years to prove me right, that he isn't a "look at me, look at me" type player.

To be fair, I probably would never have said anything about the dunk, had P'Rod not have kicked the ball into the stands, but he did.

I don't see other Bluejays doing this kinda stuff!

I wonder what daddy Korver thinks?

I don't have any proof, but I bet I know!

PJ also got one for slapping the backboard on a dunk his freshman season. It was either at UE or ISU, I can't recall which.

In practice -- not in a game.

While we're on the subject, I cannot stand to watch a player scream or yell while running back on defense after making a good play or a dunk. I understand that he would be excited, but it seems so childish to me. That's probably just me and my conservative bent. Unfortunately, AJ does it and when he does I just wince. It's just like a football player acting the fool after a touchdown in my opinion.

I have NO problem with celebrating as long as you are enjoying your teams accomplishments. Basketball is a team sport.

Efforts to draw attention to yourself are more and more annoying each year and more so if it's own our kids.

Celebrate the success. One of the few problems I had with Mark is that he didn't seem to enjoy winning enough...that's why they play the game.

You can high 5 and jump up and down and that's fine. Stomp on the other teams logo....not fine....thump your chest when you get an and 1...not fine.
