I did hear that and got quite a kick out of it. Wasn't there then some speculation about them being the Creighton Nimrods? MK is freaking beautiful.

Any idea what time of the game he said that?

I have cropped the game to end when it ended. So if it's after the 2:22:03 mark, I won't hear it.

I think someone mentioned in the game thread that it was said during pre-game.

The statement was made by Kennedy during the announcement of the starting lineups for Creighton.

Verbatim. Funny thing is, P'unk gets hammered about 10 times worse by his own fans and media.

The Nimrod of the Bible was not only known for building the Tower of Babel (dumb idea for which most people associate the name with), but also for having what you might call an "unnatural" relationship with his mother. While I don't doubt that PAS is a self-absorbed show-boater, I don't think that MK would have called him that if he had known what calling someone a nimrod really entails.

IIRC, Nimrod was also a pretty intelligent guy. He just parlayed it into some idiotic acts.

So it fits perfectly. A kid with tons of talent who parlays it into on-court moronics.
