I believe the reasong for "hitting the pipe" is to create an escape from reality.

Normally I would never cheer for a player getting hurt.

However, Garrett's body check on P'Thug was too sweet last night. Not to mention the multiple 'injuries' he suffered throughout the night. What a baby.

That sounds about right. Remember our CU fan "interaction" about eight years ago?

It's fitting that if we couldn't enjoy rubbing CU's faces in a loss to us....that my 2nd favorite fanbase in the Valley was able to do it. The problem is, Illinois St fans are too classy to really be as harsh as the CU fans deserve.

I tought our fans were great this weekend. There werer probably at least 30 times as many in the black and gold as there were creighton fans. It seems the Jays fans are there only as long as their team is there. The WSU fans were there in force all weekend long.

Creighton was by far the worst. I swear they won the award for the most fans escorted out this weekend. You could actually see the difference between the student sections. I counted at least 12 Scott Trade ushers in the student section when the creighton fans were there and half that for the other schools.

Sorry (again) if this was previously posted, but my wife (ksedg) had the line of the evening as we were dodging the intoxicated CU students trying to get out of the building. Simple, funny, appropriate: "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son..."
