IT"S OUR TIME TO MAKE SOME MADNESS vs. CU Game Thread
I guess my point is if we have to allow reaction time to start the clock then why do we not have to allow reaction time to stop the clock.
That's EXACTLY what I was thinking about. If you're gonna stop the clock dead on when it goes out of bounds, then you better start the clock dead on when it gets touched. It has to work BOTH ways in those type of end-game situations.
Doc, the ball clearly was off Clevin at the end. All he had to do was hold onto it and we win. Instead, he acted like he wanted to just dribble it instead of pick it up and hold onto it. That was a pretty big mistake.
The clock doesn't always stop right on time. How many times have you seen the officials put a few tenths back on the clock in the final minute (when tenths are accounted for)?
During the other 19 minutes, a few tenths aren't noticed because they aren't on the clock.

That's why I said in those reviewable 'in-game' situations. It looked to me it was about 1.7 to 1.8 seconds.
Regardless, this takes away your theory of allowing for human error when starting up the clock after the inbound play.
I know it doesn't look good to b*tch and complain that we got screwed, but I think that's about the closest thing to a screwjob that you can ever get. And then you have the Valley commissioner acting like it was a lot less closer than it actually was. The shot may have gone off in time, 'may', (I'm gonna review it myself later), but don't freaking lie about it Elgin.
It was A LOT closer than the .9 seconds he said was when the ball would have been released.
It look soooo shady it isn't even funny.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.
