Shox have won 7 straight Valley home games. This tournament is on the fans. Make the boys the home team, and everything else will take care of itself.

I'm looking forward to a 18 win season next year.
It's people like you who should just stay home and don't even go to St. Louis. We don't want to hear from you.
Now in regards to me, get used to it. You can either skip past my posts (like most people do :D ), or read them and take it as a personal attack on your fandom or the Shockers (like most people do :D ). Either way, I'm here and will be to the day I die.
Unless of course two things happen, someone does take me up on my offer and push me off my roof to my death, or, Royal bans me permanently (which I've come close due to some borderline avatars).
Until then, I look forward to having some witty repartee with you.

Apparently, according to some of you, we will never beat MSU in STL and will never beat SIU in Carbondale. I guess we'll never beat CU in Omaha. Maybe I should just stay home since these things will never happen.
We're better than MSU. We should win this game. The beatdown we took in Springfield may have been our worst, and their best game of the season. That's all it is. I'll be surprised if we don't win this game.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Originally posted by benishockAgain, we got clobbered in Springfield, we win one at home we deserved to lose and we've never beaten Missouri State in St.Louis. I find it impossible to have much optism.
The 2nd point a little more valid. I don't expect MSU to shoot 58% from the floor or 69% from 3 again. It is one of those statistical things that isn't likely to be reproduced against the same opponent.
The third point is ridiculous. How many times have the players on this team played MSU in STL? Zero.
I'm taking the position that we are still improving whereas MSU has lost 9 of their last 10 MVC games. They are turning the ball over a lot and we are taking care of it better. We at least have something to play for. A couple of wins puts us in position to be eligible for a post-season tournament. MSU has no such motivation, except for the boilerplate hope every MVC coach is giving their team to win it all.

I'll be Mr., or better yet, Dr. Middle of the Road.
I have no expectations at this point. I do think the WSU that got "boat-raced" in Springfield is gone, but the WSU team capable of going 2-23 from 3 and 9-21 from the line is still alive and kicking.
My main fear is of a mental letdown after the SIU game. Everyone has to be distraught at climbing this far up and then, for all intent and purposes, rolling all the way back down the mountain.
IF the team can overcome this setback, then I believe anything is possible.
If not, then it will be another irritatingly short stay in St Louis.
I'm going with my eyes wide open and hope in my heart. Nothing more, nothing less.

On paper - this should be our dream matchup since they only won 3 valley games....but I don't like how we match up with them. I'd take our chances against any other team at this point.
No predictions...just an uncomfortable feeling about this game.
