I don't mind the cheering guy, or the guy that actually knows the game and answers questions, or the guy that just likes to talk. I don't like the "know it all" guy.

Mr. "That was a terrible call it can't be a charge. See he was dribbling with his left hand and if you're dribble with your left hand you can't commit a charging foul." "They have a 1/4 of an inch between those three guys guarding Durley. They should have passed it to him for an easy bucket." "How could they have given him a three? I can clearly see from the far end of the court that his little toe was on the line. That official standing right next to him is blind. Oh, can I borrow a napkin I got a smudge on my three inch thick glasses"

    That's the guy I don't like.

Oh you're not that bad (most of the time). :D The people in front of me think I'm a crazy woman.

Nobody should have a problem with being loud and cheering at a game.

In fact I like the guy that crumples up his hat in his hand like he is going to beat any and all of the referees and his wife who is listening to Mike Kennedy on the radio and, because of the delay, gets insanely upset several seconds later from what 10,500 people already knew several seconds earlier.

That couple kills me. You can't buy that kind of entertainment anywhere.

I save my complaining for here, especially about the refs because I know sr and sub enjoy it so much :)

But I have one in my section, in my row. Nice guy and all but he has an aneurysm if the ball isn't in the front court in 5 seconds.

You have no idea why people leave early; there are a bajillion different reasons that would probably make you feel pretty stupid for saying that (like the one already posted).

And really... why do you care so much?
If Steve has to leave because he pooped his pants, and Anita leaves because she has to do the news at 10, and Dr. Smith because he was paged to the hospital, we are all cool with that.

Nobody is complaining about cheering and the noise. I think most of us are talking about the know it all fan that really knows nothing at all but yells about everything no matter how wrong he obviously is.

I'm not a loud person and have no problems with those who are. I actually enjoy being around those who do get excited and loud. It's one of the reasons I prefer to be at the game and not watching from home. But the know nothing fan really should be kicked in the head by someone. And if it was just an occassional outburst by someone who gets wrapped up in the game that would be another thing as well. But every freaking possession???

I very well may be that guy ... although I've gotten better at asking for rule clarifications from the more knowledgeable in my section. I hope I'm just the guy who likes to talk. And yell. And scream.

                        Ahh.. I miss Koch..

Good stories. Funny characters. People getting pissed off..

You can't beat it! Beats a boring NBA atmosphere where 90% of the conversation is about how the hotdogs are, who's performing at halftime, and what shoe sizes do you think the players wear. Zzzz...

Nobody is asking for peace and quiet, we want people to not call for goaltending on every blocked shot. To not scream "he traveled" on every opposing teams dunk. To not expect an offensive rebound on every missed shot...

If you don't understand the game, don't scream your head off like you do. The persons in my section still stands and claps until the Shocks score and it is painfully clear we haven't done that for awhile.

                            That guy

I assume you are referring to the guy that is full of stats and parrots tidbits of information as Mike and Dave speak into his headphones. He is commonly referred to STAT MAN in our section.

He also tends to root for one player on the Shockers and that player is his guy for the year. The player can do no wrong and is critical of the coach when his boy comes out of the game even for a breather.

Itruly enjoy a loud, Koch Arena. If someone has to babble a little too long to contribute then so be it.

And to answer an earlier ? I don't go to the game to see cheerleaders. But I certainly do enjoy them more than some kid just standing there so that I can see the back of the same sign game after game.

Mine is a little different. It is a married blonde lady sitting behind me that talks to a couple sitting beside me about everything but the game, the kids, her sister, what they did, the schools, etc. etc. etc. loud enough so that I am unable to enjoy the game.
