Solid team effort from all the Shocks tonight. Special kudos to the Shocker bench Kyles, Ellis, Hatch, Chamberlain and Stutz all played very solid games and made significant contributions to this Big win.

Aaron stroking the long 2 from the Top of the key at a point when nothing seemed to be going the Shocks way.

And David Kyles two HUGE jumpers were perhaps the key plays down the stretch in keeping UNI at bay.

Great job Shocks.

I wasn't sure what to expect from Stutz, but he played incredible defense, had a nice move and layup, hit a three, and had a sweet block!

I can't think of ANYONE that had a bad game tonight. Hatch missed some three's but more than made up for it by his hustle (how many times was he on the floor tonight?), defense, and layups.

We have been very fortunate to be healthy all year, Mantas is still suffering from his knee problems but other than that there are no problems.

I take that back, there was a stomach virus that hit most of team during late December and January. Does that count as an injury?

Nope! For injury, you can look at SIU and Illinois State and see what happened. We'll play at their places. Both games are winnable since they don't have enough bodies.

Just got home. Been to 3 games this year Creighton, Evansville, and now Northern Iowa. Anyone want to pay my way to Normal. I feel lucky. Shockers were good tonight. A lot of fun.

It was the big win we needed that just keeps on giving. It was a win that defied all odds. Date night at the Chuck!!! We beat the 1st place team, a team that had beat us 4 times in a row here according to the paper, a team that was picked to beat us by 2-1/2. It was a game that served notice that our young guns are coming together and improving. A game that Kyles hit some big shots, played some solid defense as usual. It was a game that our bench shined as a unit of quality depth. Stutz, Hatch, Kyles, Reggie, Mantas, and Ellis came in and played a part in this needed win. Clemente got some very needed rebounds at crunch time. It was a win that gives us hope for the future and the future starts right now. Why not right now? Next Season will take care of itself.

WHAT ABOUT THEM SHOCKERS!!! THIS IS OUR TEAM! Some young teams would self destruct if they started out 0-6. This team is coming together. :clap: :D :drum: :bball_spin: One game at a time from here. Let's just win out in the Valley and take St. Louie by storm!!!!!!!

Just got home from my 4 hour drive from Fayetteville. Color-me-Surprised. Great win Shox, by reading the thread, it looks like the guys took their foot off the UNI throat just a little bit in the 2nd half but I'm glad they finished the job. Let's keep up the momentum.

GREAT first half. Came out a little tentative in the secound half. NI kicked up the D a notch and the shox did not answer offensively. Did not panic but did not close the deal. Hit the free throws when we needed to and NI did not. I would have preferred to run a little clock at times at the end rather than throw the pass to score early (which resulted in 2 turnovers) but what the heck thats just me. I liked the fact that NI started in a man defense and switched to a zone when that did not work and then we SHOT them out of the zone. Hannah only put up one three ball in the 2nd half and made that (after a foul). He was smokin the first half but only shot once or twice the secound half.
