    Guys,
Just make your wife a dinner before the game. That's what I do, no problem...(but she's actually a pretty big fan).

Valentine's Day 2006 we just finished dinner and turned the game on at 8:00 pm NY time. Oops the game started at 5pm, not 7. We caught the last 30 seconds of regulation and overtime. I wasn't disappointed at all. :yahoo:

      AND WHAT????

      Plenty of tickets available.

Don't let me hear about the great fans.....It's all crap.

Do these kids have to be ranked again to get people to go?

      Bandies.
it's valentines night buddy. Your wife may be down with basketball but mine is not. Poor azz scheduling to have a game at 7 on valentines night.
Do you really think they're gonna schedule a college basketball game around Valentine's night?

I want you to personally go to ESPN.com and count how many basketball games will be going on at 6-8pm local time.

      ... No really, deuces.

        Find a new wife :)
I have to second that! I've been married 10 years and my wife has been to every Valentine's Day game whether she was down with it or not.

Don't blame the fans, blame the Valley for having the game on the 14th. Shox should give roses and 2 for 1s to Spangles to keep the seats filled and spouses happy.

Mrs. ShockBand and I did our Valentine's dinner night last night, partly because of the game tonight, partly because we both hate the restaurant madness on the night of St. Valentine's (I resisted the urge to call it VD night, oops guess I really didn't). Now it works out that our ticket buddies can't make it, so me, Mrs. ShockBand, and Lil' ShockBand will all be there tonight! Whether or not our little two year old learns any new words tonight will remain to be seen! :)

All you need to do is tell your lady friend, "Babe, the game will last until around 9, the sweet love that I will make to you if the shockers win will last the rest of your life!"

My wife is going, just cause she knows that is what makes me happy. I went shopping with her while she picked out scrapbooking crap earlier. It's called compromise.... 8)

Most important game in 2 plus years? I am missing something?

Did the schedule change? Is Northern Iowa not their opponent tonight?

                  Please explain....

1.) Think about our history in the last 2 years and then pick out a more important game in that time period
2.) Who is leading the Valley?
3.) What does the outcome of this game have on our postseason implications? (Play-in situation)
4.) Consider where we were 3 weeks ago.

Oh, and Baylor's look good.. 8)

Once again the obsession with Baylor continues. I appreciate it.

But I would have to say the most important game in the last two plus years had to be any of the FINAL 5 losses of the '07 season. Shocks were headed to the post-season. This year they have no chance to go.

I hope they win tonight but please do not compare this game to any of those final 5 games n '07-which is less than 2 plus years ago.

Celebrated our 20th anniversary at Eck Stadium a few years ago. I can't beleive she didn't go with me. We're going tonight.

You ain't too bright. That is a SERIES of games. Perhaps that was the most important SERIES of games during this time period. But this single game is pretty big with implications going into St Louis and just to stay on the upward trend finishing off this season.

And with Evansville having just lost to Bradley...makes it even bigger if we are to continue to climb into the middle of the pack.
