Bottom line is it all comes down to RPI. The Vikes, despite some severe disappointments (the loss of one of our starters killed us!), is still in the top 100. 69 spots down is, well, you. It's simple math. No real upside except for the home game next year.

In any event, I do hope that this season has been an aberration for you and that when you come to Cleveland, you don't suck. And I will look forward to the copious amounts of C-Town smack when the rematch comes around.

I look forward to reading what will inevitably be a verbal beatdown at my expense. I accept it as the price I pay for being such an a-hole.

Before you get a big head because you guys won a fluke upset that everyone has forgot about and you decide to trash us by getting on your board. Note this, that Wichita is not some little farming town in Kansas that no one has ever heard of, Cleveland is the same size as Wichita in population.

Why don't you save it until you guys get "shock"ed when you come here infront of a sellout and witness an "upset".

CSU averaged 3,302 attendees last season at home. You'll be surprisingly woken up when yous step into The Chuck, and have 10,500 people screaming at the top of our lungs.

But please, don't start blushing. 10,500 didn't come especially just to see us whip your tails. Because a sellout crowd is an every game type of thing for us. Even with a team with such a "low" RPI you talk about.

Cleveland State fan can not comprehend the Shocker Nation and what it would be like to have home and home series with teams from the Big 12, SEC, and the Big East over the last 5 years.

I also don't think they could comprehend a consensus top-10 national ranking in the last 3 years.

        Forget about the Sweet 16...

Let's just "welcome" them into one of the loudest buildings in the nation of which a team from the ACC played in 5 years ago calling it "louder than Duke".

Regardless of the outcome, it will be a memorable experience for the kids from Ohio when they come to visit the state where basketball was invented...

When living in Columbus, I asked how to get to Cleveland and was told "go north until you smell it and then east until you step in it".

The only good thing about Cleveland is that it's not Detroit. But close enough.

          Cleveland State Basketball - - now THAT'S a laugh. What a joke!

I thought only KU fans believe basketball was invented in Kansas.

Although I would normally agree with you, CSU basketball is better than WSU at the moment. Our BracketBuster history is not exactly golden and CSU could very well come into Koch and bust us in the chops and go home with a win.

Now, if they wanna talk smack about history, tradition, fans, facilities, etc., then there is no comparison.

Despite being a Cleveland State fan, I totally represent myself. You'll excuse my brethren for being rather shy or, in most cases, non-existent. 40-plus years of being crap at basketball (with the exception of most of the 80s) will do that to a fan base.

Nice breakdown of the yearly win totals over the years. Most of those were accumulated by two guys I wouldn't trust to run my errands, let alone my basketball team (and yes, that includes Rollie Massimino, but I'll my history with that guy out of it).

Let's fast-forward to the heart of the matter, the fact that Gary Waters is bent he has to lug the team out to Wichita. Now, that's what I like. A fan coming into our house and throwing it down.

                  Ain't nothing wrong with that.

I agree vbird53. Welcome Bobby Mc in C-Town. After all, there is a difference between being "civil" and being "fan civil". Here's to having a good game and making the best of the situation.

                          Makes sense to me.

Thanks for taking a better route than that ol' ball killer Bobby Mac took. Good luck in the rest of your season as well (minus the BB game).

                              • Shocks02, you might as well go back another twenty years, you'll see more of the same for CSU.

Gary Waters is in his third year as the head Viking Coach, and has turned this program around much faster than anyone expected. He turned a twenty loss team into a twenty win team in one year, only a handful of teams have done that.

Waters is the same coach that turned Kent State into a MAC Power and turned bottom feeder Rutgers into a respectable program until he got ran out of New Jersey.

Congrats to WSU on your victory over Indiana State. Cleveland State also pulled down a much needed road victory tonight.
