I'm a little confused with the statement "A good road win like this".

This was a home win. I thought maybe you were saying if we had a "road win like this then...", but then you said "will beget more road wins" like we already had a road win.

I'm just confused. :wacko:

Actually I had to read his statement a couple of times myself. What I finally decided (in my own mind) was that he was saying if we could win a game on the road in the same manner as we won this game, that road win would generate a lot of confidence which, in turn, would lead to more road wins. But I did have to read it several times.

I thought there would be much more excitement on this board.

Beating the prediction of 9th is essential, but getting out of the play-in round in STL would be awesome (as many have stated)

1. Very odd, the situation with Hatch. Last season, he could do nothing but shoot. This season, he plays like a madman, but cannot shoot a lick.

2. Officials were just not very good again yesterday. Maybe I expect too much. One time, one of our guards (can't remember who) took a full step out front. No call.

3. I wish Reggie was either taller or quicker, cause he can sure shoot the rock.

4. Popcorn was better this time.

5. Nice couple sat in front of us, musta bought those seats off of the regulars. Dunno if they drove up from Oklahoma or down from Iowa, but either way, it was a long drive home for them after that Drake display.

6. TM's steal and dunk was pretty amazing. Hell of a play, actually.

7. I know I was throwing Durley under the bus for the last year or so, but if he is going to play with this kind of effort and enthusiasim, I think maybe we should keep him.

8. I wanna see more of Kyles.

Hatch's shot will be just fine. They've changed a few things with it so he's still adjusting to the new approach. I expect him to be fine next year with more time to work on it. It's not easy to change something like that that he'd been doing for years.

A few of my observations
1. You're right Hatch seems to have lost all shooting touch
2. The two shocker fans with the eye black, sunglasses and long hair need to get a new act or gaduate or get a life or the camera man needs to shoot over them at some one at least marginally representative of the student body.
3. Watched the replay of the game on dvr and one of TM's steals belongs to AE.
4. I think the team is starting to "get" what it is going to take on each possession to win.
5. I really like it when TM brings the ball up and can see over the opposing guards. He just glides when he drives to the basket.
6. JT is really coming around like we had all hoped.
7. This team is the team no one will want to play in StL

Hatch makes almost every shot in shoot around before the game... its not because he tweaked his shot and still adjusting to it... he had all off season and all this season to get comfortable and obviously he is from his shoot around and pre game warm up displays. Hatch is just not making it in the game plain and simple. He is takin it to the rack of late like a mad man and is making hustle plays quite frequently BUT not knockin down the J's from the outside. Maybe if he could get a couple to rattle home then he'd find that groove he should be in.

Big difference from shoot around and game time. What's changed appears to be minor but it's much larger adjustment than one would think. And I'm not sure when the adjustment began. Considering he was in AZ all summer it may be something that wasn't messed with until fall practice.

He'll be fine.

I'm sure he will be too and yeah there is a huge diff between shoot around and a game but i dont think that is the problem. if he wasn't a gamer he wouldnt be playing.

I have a feeling that once he does make a 3 that more will follow. It's just a matter of getting the 'right feel' in a game.
