I asked to be educated - I got educated.

I agree with your opinion of Hightower - I never could understand his claim to fame. I think the older he gets the more arrogant he gets.

I just heard from a friend and fellow ShockerNetter who said I may have been thinking about J. D. Collins. Does that make any sense or am I still in the throes of an Alzheimer's moment?

Don't hate on "Baywatch", he's one of the good ones.

Sub it's JD, trust me. He was way too concerned about our "bench" last year. It's like he was looking to show HCGM that he was in control. The guy has an attitude problem.

I don't see the stat for "most yards run waving arms to draw attention to self" or "most minutes on camera demonstrating calls". That is where Mr. tower shines.

                  You forgot the stare downs!

I have seen many games he has officiated, he likes to stare down a player after he has made a call. He wants a player to give him a reason to T him up. He's such a self absorbing a_ _!

I will give him one thing, he is the same with other schools. However, that is no excuse for his actions. He needs to be put out to pasture. The game will be better for it.

I'll echo the other positive sentiments covering JH. He is one of the best, period. He is as good as it gets and if you complain about him you will never be satisfied with any official.

Mike Sanzere, despite the views of others, is also top shelf. He has worked the Final 4 and countless tournament games.

JD is actually a good official and like Mike and John, works several conferences. He just gets a lot notoriety for personality clashes, i.e. the WSU Valley Tournament game. 8)
Above all, make the right call.

I don't recall much good or bad about Sanzere. Which is probably a good thing.

JD from what I've seen comes off poorly. He does seem to have some issues with how he handles the bench and that's stood out to me. But I wouldn't yet put him in the Ed Hightower department.

I had no idea who Higgins was until I clicked on the link to his photo, after which I easily recognized him.

I agree with what some in this thread have said: he's one of the better officials we get.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Pretty cool site where you can compare refs and see their "stats".
Yes it is a pretty cool site. It also has WSU history in it.

Some scary thoughts - Marshall is 1 loss from Cohen/Thompson having a better win percentage.

                                Mike Cohen (3 seasons) 32-56 0.364
                                Scott Thompson (4 seasons) 40-70 0.364
                                Gregg Marshall (2 seasons) 17-29 0.370
