Does that mean that UMKC will have to play a game at Sprint for KC to host? That game would have to be against a national power in order for it to be more than .005% filled

KU and KSU take care of that but I see your point. I've been to the last few UMKC games in KC and it's sad when the opposing team out numbers the home team 2000 to 50.

The NCAA doesn't allow sales of alcohol at events where it is the sponsor. That accounts for the lack of beer for baseball regionals.
I'd sooner not sell the ground under Koch to the city. With the marvelous job the city has done with the arena (no parking), the WaterWalk, the boat house, the levees, etc. I'd rather not trust the city with anything related to WSU.

My top picks for an arena-opening game with the Shockers:
1) K State
2) KU (would never happen)
3) Tulsa
4) Texas A&M
5) OSU
reserve a block of seats for the students, give season ticket holders first shot at a substantial number of the remaing seats, and throw it open to the public for a sell-out.
And beer or no beer, I'd love to see a 1st/2nd round tournament bid for Intrust. I could almost walk to the games. In fact, I WOULD walk to the arena for that.
