KU DOES NOT DO A 1/1 WITH UMKC.

Well they do a something and 1 because they play them in KC. I thought it was one and one out of the last two but it looks like it was 2 and 1 out of the last 3.

So some mysterious bad behavior that happened fifteen years ago is the reason KU won't play WSU? Even though there is nobody from either of those staffs remotely connected to either school at this time, and both schools are at least two ADs removed from who was in charge back then? ... This game would mean a lot to the people of Wichita, who provide a lot of the students and money for KU. Any hard feelings from fifteen or fifty years ago on both sides should be left in the past.

I'm not the one saying they shouldn't play. I'm only saying there are reasons why they don't. I'm not saying those reasons aren't 10 years (not 15) in the past but I do think those reasons are valid.

Frankly, I'd like to see them play. Most KU fans also probably would. Frankly they don't care much about WSU but what feeling they do have are mostly good.

My only objection is when WSU fans say there isn't any reason they shouldn't play. There are reasons and ones that many people (including me) think are fairly valid.

I also think if the shoe was on the other foot EVERYONE on this board would be incensed.

Well I'm with the previous poster who asked why the hell you are talking about KU anyway. There are KU threads here at least once a week. I mean come on, Sienna turns a 20 point KU lead into 7 and still loses and that rates 25% of the posts that day?

How many empty seats were in Koch tonight while this thread was taking place?

And if KU is playing UMKC in KC, that is hardly the samet thing as playing in Wichita or in Koch.

WSU has a home court advantage on UMKC's home court.

I bet KU played at Kemper or the Sprint Center as a "neutral" game.

I agree that the KU stuff has been a little much lately, but I guess it helps deflect some of the stress of our own team and gives us a chance to vent..

I wish nothing but the fastest death for all threads on this subject. Maybe we could just put a sticky thread at the top of the forum so we don't have to have more than one of these threads. Maybe when someone feels the need to ask this same tired question each week they wont have to because there is already a 900 page thread stickied at the top.

1) I watch this board for rants on the streaming audio of games so when I'm here I see all the threads.

2) I don't see any reason I can't be both a KU and WSU fan. I realize that also is heresy but in the real word that's a completely rational thing.

There's only two reasons it seems Chris ever posts on here. One is to defend Hubris or answer questions because the online stream doesn't work. And the other is to talk about KU in some way. There may be a rare occassion that he chimes in about something else but skimming through posts I didn't see any.
