WSU needs to get KU on their schedule for next year.

at Kansas for an non-conference game.
Charles Koch Arena for an non-conference game.
Intrust Bank Arena for a non- conference game during conference play.

There have been rumors of the 'Cats playing the opening game at Intrust but with the arena not opening until January of '10 I doubt it will happen. However we are playing North Carolina Central in February this year so maybe Frank has no problem with playing out of conference that late.

If it happens beware - the 'Cats are gonna be loaded next year. They lose only Darren Kent of this years team and add 3 blue chippers.

As far as KU goes be glad you don't have to play the arrogant SOB's!

Yes it can happen and probably will happen - just not in the very near future. At least not until the Shockers get much better.

I've always held the position that they should only meet in the NCAA tournament. However, As an Alumn of both KU and WSU, I'd like to see the Shox play KU in Wichita at Intrust. I rarely make it back to Lawrence, but do visit family and friends in Wichita a few times per year. I'd certainly make it a point to go back "home" to watch KU and WSU play at the new arena (especiallay since it has all chairback seating). :)

With Intrust opening, it would provide a nice payday for KU for an away game. Additionally, they could notch up their lofty position with local City League recruits, and give an opportunity for a lot of local KU fans to watch them play.

The better WSU gets on a national level, the better the chances of KU playing in Wichita against the Shockers.

Well, I know we can't this year, and chances are, not next year either.

I want to play them when we are equal, not when we are the charity case and pose no threat. I personally do not want to hear it from KU fan after we get drubbed by 30 like the last time we played.
