I've been pretty surly the last couple of days since the TCU game but after watching three games on tv last night, mostly ranked teams, I felt a lot better. There is some bad basketball being played all around the country. I'm back on the bandwagon that the guys will right the ship. :posterwu:

I am starting to lean more on HCGM just laying into these guys. The effort isn't there, the emotion isn't there. The offense has no resemblance of anything that can produce points. So we are stuck with 2 situations.

Either the players just don't give a crap, in which case HCGM needs to tear them a new one. Screw hurting their feelings. Their old enough to take it. And if they aren't, they have no business being apart of a program that hailed the moto of MTXE. They are getting free college and if they don't want to go along with the program, they can get the hell out right now before we waste another minute putting up with their crap.

Or this really is what HCGM is coaching, which if this is the case, he is not qualified to lead this team.

Personally, I am leaning toward the first scenario. So HCGM needs to figure out who is going to give the effort and try and develop them this year, while he has the leeway to fail. If the guys who have the talent don't want to play, they can read some writing on the wall for all I care. I've been a WSU fan for my 33 years in existence and consider myself patient. I want to win with HCGM and am willing to give him 5 years.

If the players do not come out motivated to play that is on the coaches shoulders 100%. His job is not only to teach the X's and O's, it is to teach these kids how to become men. He is one part basketball coach, one part role model, and one part motivator.

The sign of a good coach is how much he can get out of his players. When his players play beyond the appearance of their potential you have a keeper!

My feelings towards this season were always going to be decided around the time Arch Madness comes to a close. I, and most everyone else, knew there were going to be so many ups and downs that you could kill yourself letting every one of them get to you.

In that regard, would I really feel that much better about this team had we won at TCU? Sure, I'd feel better, but much better? It's ALWAYS good to win, but we could of creamed the Frogs and I'd still know there were tough times ahead.
