  • Murry - 4/12. 2/6 from 3.
    Hannah - 1/8. 0/4 from 3.

    Buljan, 6'9", C - 7/9. 3/3 from 3.
    Ryzgas, 6'6" F - 5/5. 4/4 from 3.

    WSU FT's - 0/2
    TCU FT's - 11/12

That's pretty much the ball game.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Fever has officially "won" when he gets forevershockerfan to get testy.

KC, you may have turned me into a Gardner Webb fan Friday.

      Also :(

If it helps, my deck should provide sufficient height to achieve the desired result.

      All in all :(
That made me laugh. After tonight's game, I needed that.

      Thanks.

      • Just one of those games you have to forget and move on. This game is going to be as much of a learning experience to our team and to us fans as the ones we win. In the future when we are a 20+ win team and we have forgotten this moment, these loses will have paid dividends on the learning curve. Keep the faith! I know I will and I am sure KCShox will also.

        • At 800,000 last year a win was approximately 72,000 and some change. Marshall is on pace to eclipse his pay for wins this year. At this rate, He might be paid around 100,000 for each win. Awesome job coach.

              • Relax folks. Here are a few ?s
Is this team better than last years team?
                Yes

                Are we a young team?
                Yes

Are we going to look bad at times?
                yes

We new this from the start. We will have growing pains. This team should remind most of you of your toddlers. Ups and Downs

                :goshocks:
Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, and Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

                • Why would we over schedule like this with such an inexperienced team? So we could lose even more confidence after last year's debacle? Please use your head.

Uh the majority of schedules are done a year or two in advance. We weren't getting outside of the Old Spice. Texas Tech and TCU aren't powerhouses. By most accounts, myself included, TCU looked like a winnable game. We're loaded with patsies the rest of the way. I don't think the schedule is that bad at all. It's better than playing an Illinois State type schedule, going 11-0, and then falling on our asses once conference season starts.

Please, for the love of God, don't blame it on the scheduling. That's officially your second dumbest statement of the night so far.

Who says Illinois State will fall on their asses? Here's fifty bucks that says the confidence they developed in the preseason will carry them to at least an NIT bid. The Old Spice was enough, we had no business playing two more road games in a row, then coming home facing a very good Gardner Webb team, which will probably smoke us at home.

                      • Wow. Such pessimism.

It's just a loss. Nothing more. Come March, it won't matter a bit.

But what's on my mind right now? With fans like this, who needs away games? We're turning into Philadelphia Eagles fans here. Next thing you know, we'll be booing the team at home games and throwing popcorn at Marshall. Jeeze...

Can't we have a little pride? Sure, the Final 4 every year is a little overreaching, but there are some people on here who probably won't be happy unless we're there every year, and at least one guy on here who would be pissed if we only made the Final 4 every year.

Like I said earlier, with fans like this, who needs away games?

You missed the point. Illinois State is BETTER than us. Of course, they're gonna do better. What I was saying is why be fooled and go untested with a pud schedule and not know how good or bad we are and then get sent a lethal dose of reality in conference play that would send us into a 06-07esque tailspin.

This schedule is not the most difficult one out there. The road trip should help make home seem like a piece of cake, well hopefully.

Uh, this isn't the Gardner-Webb of last year who knocked off UK. They're 2-5 and not very good. I will be flying to the Grand Canyon and jumping without the bungee if we don't win this game on Friday.

Again, your argument is flawed. Blame the lack of offense and the youth and inexperience for what we have so far - not the freaking scheduling.

                          • ShockerFever---Nope---you are wrong still again. I did not say the Shockers are definitley a top 4 team in the Valley. This was my convictions based on the comment to you---"forevershockerfan wrote:
ShockerFever---4th or better in the Valley baby. Believe it."

That is my story and I strongly believe it just as I said before the Season ever started. I also have stuck to it since and don't worry about a few tough losses early on with a young team. Once the Valley starts, that will still be my opinion. You on the other hand change your mind as often as the changes in the Kansas weather? Thus, once we turn this around, I will see you back on the Shocker turnip truck. Jump on!!!!!!!

                            • Have you seen our erratic play lately? My opinion has been changing as has our inconsistent play.

I made a prediction at the beginning of the year of 8th. I stand by that.

You're not understanding the difference between a full-out final standings prediction and a week-by-week ranking system.

When you figure out the difference between the two, get back to me. I'll accept your apology quickly and without much thought.
