I am amazed when students don't cheer for the school that they are attending. I don't have any respect for them at all. But I have to say, Charlie has won some of us over as closet Razorback fans... except when they are playing the Shox! :good:
The Valley is down this year, however we have several new coaches in the league. It will take a season or two to get us back to a 3 or 4 bid league. I believe CU will be figuring things out by league play and EU is improved a little. However, ISU(blue) and Bradley are a concern to me. Bradley should be a lot better than they have shown and I have no idea what is happening to the Sycamores. They seem to be going backwards in a hurry and could be headed for their old spot at the bottom of the Valley standings.
The new coach situation is a good point. Six new coaches in the last two years. Seven if you count Drake twice due to Keno's one-year wonder. In 2-3 years I see the Valley being right back where it was 2-3 years ago.
Drake, UNI and WSU will battle for 4th...Creighton, SIU, Ill. St. 1, 2 and 3
i think bradley could be in the mix for 4th when they get Warren back
The problem with Bradley is that they now have virtually no quality post players. Their best remaining post is Singh, at 3.5 pts and 4.0 rebs a game in 17 minutes per game. The next closes fit is Theron Wilson, a 6-5 G/F.
If they just had one decent post player I might think they'd be in the mix for 4th.
I will make a bold prediction though. David Kyles will get plenty of minutes in the two Bradley games.
Don't exactly know why I threw UNI in the mix..Haven't seen them play...They were nipped at home by Iowa St......Battling for 4th in the MVC this year unfortunately is not a sign of greatness
The Panthers have a history of performing "above their talent" imho, but their depth and lack of size and athleticism (as much as I like Adam Koch and a couple other players) are going to be huge obstacles to overcome in an 18 game schedule.
"2 players doesn't make a team. Follow that up with a new coach who can't coach according to DU fans even, and I expect a bottom half finish with them when it's all said and done." ----Hey ShockerFever---Did you have a change of heart on Drake as shown in the quote just last week from you?
"It's only November, pipe down on the koolaid. And Drake is horrible this year." How about this one by you? Now you rank them 4th in the Valley? Why the drastic change of heart all the sudden?
This is how the Valley is ranked after 3 weeks. In no way is it the "final" predictions, but a ranking system for the current.
Drake is 4th, partially because they've improved their play slightly, but mostly by default, because the rest of the Valley's sucking up even worse.
Nice try though.. :good:
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Here's the deal 1-Creighton 2. SIU 3. Ill. St. 4. Shocks 5. Drake
6. Bradley 7. N. Iowa 8. Evansville 9. Mo St. 10. Ind. ST
The top 4 could shake out different---but should all make it. The Shocks are NOT a 9th place team but could shake out to 5th or 6th. On the other hand, we would all rather dream that WSU makes the top 3 in Valley play, then peaks at St. Louie and and Dances in March. Sometimes---even pipe dreams come true? Stay tuned!!!!!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
