MSU had Raymar Morgan, 6'8", 225, come off the bench and drop 29 on OSU by going 9/11 from the field and 11/13 from the line.

    94-79 MSU. FINAL.

MSU played 13 players in this game.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

Well, i'm not liking going up against MSU. But WSU proved themselves already IMO that they are CAPABLE of playing pretty decent and at least didn't go 0-3. At least if we do get blown away we can say it was by a top 10 team and it won't look so bad LOL. Hopefully we can be competitive for at least 30 mins or so.

I'll say though that I haven't really watched MSU much this year so perhaps they aren't really deserving a top 10 rating and maybe we can make a good game of it....who knows.

What does Michigan St have this year?

Well, looks like Michigan St averages:

              77.3pts, 48.2FG%, 39% 3pt, 63% FT, 35.7 reb, 6 stl, 3.3 blk per game

that was before tonight's game. So the offensive stats at least will go up some.

They have 11 players averaging 10mins or more per game. So they are every bit as deep as us.

3 players averaging double digit scoring:

                  Raymar Morgan 6'8" JR- 15.7pts
                  Kalin Lucas 6'0" SO- 12pts
                  Chris Allen 6'3" SO - 11pts

They are averaging 16 assists on 27 FG's per game.

Out of 170 shots taken so far in their previous 3 games 129 were from inside the arc. So it would seem they like to get it inside. Which would explain why their leading scorer is a 6'8" forward.

Seems as though they rebound by committee as their leading rebounder is averaging only 6 boards. They have several players averaging around 3 boards per game.

If we substitute efficiently and play with the intesity we have in the first two games, there is no way they blow us out. I also expect Marshall to mix things up defensively, which will no doubt keep them at bay. Don't expect these guys to lay down at this point, they've shown their resiliency in Orlando and will continue to do so in my opinion.

Tonight they had 23 assists on 35 baskets. So yeah, they can distribute the ball it seems.

                      Their starters tonight were:

Delvon Roe - 6'8" freshman forward
Marquise Gray - 6'8" senior forward
Kalin Lucas - 6'0" sophmore guard
Travis Walton - 6'2" senior guard
Durrell Summers - 6'4" sophmore guard

                      Most bench minutes:

Raymar Morgan - 6'8" junior forward with 23 mins (29 pts)
Chris Allen - 6'3" sophmore guard with 16 mins
Draymond Green - 6'6" freshman forward with 16 mins

They look nervous about their defense on their message boards, especially about driving. This could be AJ's breakout game...

Yeah and on paper we seem to match up OK. I don't know how athletic MSU is or how quick. But they seem to have quite a few young guys themselves, granted most of theirs are at least sophmores but still.

                              Easy there..

Centenary has contained the Hawk. UMKC has contained the Hawk.

Not a tall team but very talented and athletic. Many have stated they are a potiential final four team.
