In the emotion of it all, I'm so disgusted that a nice glass o'vino won't even take the edge off. It just plain stinks. Shake it off & win on Monday.

Ok, I'm back.

I realized that I predicted this team to finish 8th in the conference so this kind of stuff is expected.

Just the fact that it was UMKC though is pretty unbelievable. But then again, not many teams win shooting 11-24 from the free throw line.

I agree that 11 wins look about on line.

A lot of empty seats out there tonight. Didn't look good on TV. Although, I do like the new look of the floor.

Anyway, embarassing loss tonight. Fundamental basketball at its worst. Small guards driving the lane, out of control and not knowing what to do with the ball, poor free throw shooting, and rushing shots in key situations.

Another 11 win season is on the horizon.

The crowd looked good on TV. This isn't any more embarassing than any other loss - nobody wants to lose. This wasn't fundamental basketball at its worse; I'm sure we have all seen worse.

I too believe we will win a few more than 11 - I hope the players don't have that "give up" attitude - I'm sure posters would criticize them if they did. Amazing how everybody expected a slow start up until a couple of weeks ago and all of a sudden it happens and the world is coming to an end. We will lose a lot of games, but we'll keep getting better. Other than Ramone, our best players are all in their first year of DI. It will get better people.

On another note, did anybody else wish they would have given Murry the ball for the last possession?

Ya, I don't think the last play was very well executed at all, much like most of the game.

He does an excellent job of creating, especially for a freshman. I'm sure that will eventually be his role. If he doesn't create his own shot, he usually sets somebody else up.

Here's the deal. This young team will come on strong as the Season progresses. This early loss does not at all change my original prediction of 17 wins. We will win some surprising games and lose a few like this one that is depressing.

Positives- Garrett and Toure (Im starting to think these 2 are our 2 best players)

negatives- Free throws and Aaron Ellis

I can understand overall play being inconsistent. I can understand losing a game you're supposed to win. I CAN'T understand missing that many FTs; especially after reading the manner in which HCGM makes them shoot FTs AND make FTs in order to end a practice.

Umm... Well, I can't say was a good experience at all.

I thought things were going to go just fine when Hatch was hitting Stutz inside with passes. But the Roos' driving was killing us. After seeing everything that happened tonight, I will say two things and leave it at that.

1) If Ramon had a little more help on the boards, we would have had a decisive edge in possessions and won the game.

2) I miss PJ

Anyone watching care to comment on the Stutz foul?

May have had some body, but he had both hands on top of the ball. The player was substantialy shorter than he.

The ref did not make the call for any body contact, at least that is not what he signaled. The signal he made indicated that he was calling him for hitting the shooters arm and he made the call as Stutz was still holding the ball which he never let go of from the time he blocked it...

Stutz and Murry are very good. I still think Clemente is our best player.

Ellis is very disappointing, although he is still fresh coming off an injury

Free throws sucked.

Stutz lookos awkward. As in Hey im the really tall guy awkward. ITs not a bad thing but he looks like he still growing which is a good thing. He looks really good once he has the ball in his hands.

I <3 Toure' After his steal/bucket/ and 1 he turned to the crowd with a "im the mothereffing poop" look on his face" THEN after he made his free throw while hes guarding his guy hes telling HIM that hes the mothereffing poop.

I love it.

Teh fact that we only had Ramon for last and this year is crime. It is criminal. Nola Foulston should bring up charges on someone for that.

Great seats nachos were ok. My eyes are on fire because of my contacts.

ps. Guys that free throw shooting was pathetic and you should be ashamed of yourselfs.

I blame coaching on this one. This early in the year and you play your starters a straight 10 minutes to start the game. Who in Division I does this? Durley was not the same the rest of the game.

In reference to the foul on Stutz, the ref blew the whistle late, signaled body under the basket, then called it on the arm to the table. I hate when we have ref's that want to be in the action instead of watching the action. That's a whole other story. But I will say, I liked the younger guy with short hair. He blew his whistles for fouls, no theatrics, and I don't believe the fans boo'd at one single call he made.
