I know some won't like this comparison, but it's a name that's been in the back of my mind since Shocker Madness.

Darren Brooks.

Really? I still haven't seen him play, but if he's getting comparisons like have been mentioned in this thread, I'm really excited.

Brooks' defense was absolutely incredible.

To follow up on my Brooks comparison, here are the key stats from DB's freshman season. It is significant to note that this was after a redshirt year.

MPG - 23.0 (only started one game, however)
PPG - 9.4
RPG - 4.1
APG - 2.1
SPG - 1.2
TOs - 1.3/game
FG - 114-273 (41.8%)
3FG - 46-114 (40.4%)

I think if you swap the rebound and assist numbers, Toure is going to have a similar season.

One game and it's already getting scary.
It's great news but let's keep this under something less than thermonuclear level praise.
It's one game against a team on an even keel with Emporia State.
UMKC will bring a bit more to the table and we'll see how things develop. 8)

We are seeing why Scout's Dave Telep said he loved Toure Murry. It's exciting to have players so good and so young. And you know Marshall is already building on this.
