The good Lord has blessed Garrett with an awful lot of talent. It's all up to Garrett what he does with it.....if he gets 75% of what Paul got, he'll be a freaking stud.

To know the true potential of a "big-man" is to know one of the great secrets of the world.
Paul was a dual-sport recruit at WSU and had a spot on Oklahoma's basketball roster if he wanted it. There were those that obviously saw a lot of potential in him.
Paul is very well proportioned and I don't know if Garrett will ever achieve his speed. Like coach said, I think Garrett is going to carry nearly 280+lbs when it's all said and done and be a bruising center, versus Paul, who was more of a finesse center.
I saw Paul this summer as well and he is still getting better. He looks and plays like a true professional.

Don't forget that fans were calling Paul fifi even at some points during his senior year. I looked at the stats and he only played 3 games as a true frosh before getting hurt. He averaged 17.7 min, and had a total of 12 points 6 rebounds - so looks like Garret should break these marks easily.
As a redshirt freshman, he started 23 of 30 games, averaged 20 minutes, 7.4 pts and 4.7 boards. I think Garrett could carry numbers like this as a true freshman, maybe better.

I agree with what HGCM said about Garrett. We won't see his full potential until he develops a "growl'!
Like Paul he seems to be a smart player and should be very coachable.
I love his ability to go with either hand around the basket, and what a nice touch he has for such a big man.
Right now, in additon to needing more "growl" he needs to work hard on his footwook.
We need to keep in mind he is still just a Baby in College Basketball terms. It is going to be very interesting and entertaining watching him develop.
Go Garrett! :goshocks:
