I would be disappointed with anything short of 6,000 - 8,000 excited and eager fans warming up their vocal cords for basketball season during the VB match.

Could (and better) get mighty loud for a VB game.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

My sources tell me that the length of the VB match will be inversely proportional to the size of the crowd that is in attendance for the VB match. The larger the crowd the shorter the match.

If we get a dissappointing crowd Lambo plans on throwing the first two sets and delaying the action whenever he can. Shouldn't last more than 2.5 hours.

A mega crowd and the Shockers go for the quick put away. 60 minutes should be enough for a motivated Shocker team to complete a sweep.

It is really all up to the fans.

I just found out I may not be able to leave Independence until at least 4:30 that day. So I have to hope for a 5-setter!

Will programs be handed out Saturday night? Usually need something listing the players by their numbers to get everyone straight, especially our 4 new guards.

            Only 6 days left!!!

That's the catch. Admissions is free. Programs will be $20.00. :)

Good question, though. My guess is yes, but just in case there not, I think I will print a roster from goShockers.com to take with me.

Actually I think Lambo has arranged with the officials to have sweat mopped up after every point (ala Ohio State) if fewer than 3000 people show up and for WSU to start each game with 24 points if at least 10,000 fans are in the stands at the start of play. I'm sure the officials' contacts for this game state that they are paid by the hour if fewer than 4000 fans show up. ;-) :D

BTW: Come out a watch a really good Shocker team pay Drake back for last year's basketball. 25-0, 25-0, 25-1 :D
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Last year they had a handout that showed all the players. I remember that was many of ours first look at Ehimen. I believe someone than actually scanned the pic from the handout and posted it on here for all to see.

If they're wearing the practice jerseys like they did last year, you better have really good eyes or binoculars to see the numbers on the shirts.

Even if you can't see the numbers, it doesn't take long to figure out who's who.

Is anyone making an official visit this weekend?

I was wondering the same thing. I haven't heard anything from anywhere. I'd assume they'll at least have some "local" kids in. I think it'd be nice in KJ and Jerome were in, but they've been here and made committments already. I believe KJ has made an official visit already, I'm not sure about Jerome.

I thought he had but couldn't remember off the top of my head.

Those two can't get here soon enough!!!
