I think these Durley reports shouldn't be too much of a surprise though. These are the same reasons that Turgeon had him penciled in last year to be a contributor before the knee injury.

Let's hope the work ethic and desire that many of the other guys have, transfers over to J.T.

He's a gifted kid but he has to want to be great.

The only two known commodities on this team are P.J. and Matt.

Players with somewhat high expectations would include Gal, Mantas, Ramon, Ehimen (if he's available) and possibly Aaron.

Guys that are either relatively unkown or have shown to have limitations in their games include Phil, J.T., Wendell, Graham, Arbry, Brett B, Lance and Bret M.

With a Coach that seems to value hard work, intensity and toughness would seem to open up an opportunity for some guys to step up and give us a positive surprise this year. Seems like we have more than a few candidates for that also.

Wendell, for one, might be the kind of player that Marshall would really like as a key role player and one who could respond very well to HCGM's approach to the game.

Shocker fans have had to endure a lot of turmoil since Mark announced his departure. But all in all, despite our lack of size, we could be a really interesting team this year (with or without Ehimen).

Who do the rest of you think will be our positive surprises this year?
Just for fun, looked back at one of the earliest threads here....in rereading this, interesting to see in retrospect was has become of the Marshall program!
