Syracuse's season results for the past 10 years.

    98-99- 21-12- 1st round
    99-00- 26-6- Sweet 16
    00-01- 25-9- 2nd round
    01-02- 23-13- NIT
    02-03- 30-5- NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
    03-04- 23-8- Sweet 16
    04-05- 27-7- 1st round
    05-06- 23-13- NIT
    06-07- 24-11- NIT
    07-08- 21-14- NIT

20+ wins every season and a National Championship. Sure they have missed three straight NCAA tournaments, but I don't think too many schools would complain if they had Syracuse's track record and the zone had a lot to do with their success.

If he is at the 4, maybe throw a zone at them to help out on that quickness of the opposing 4. EO, GS, AE, AJH, TM, imagine the space taken up by those wingspans.
A la Syracuse? What have they done lately?
True, but we could mix it up and run new guys out there and go man-to-man. Syracuse stays in that zone. They have also won a Nat'l Championship in the last 5 years.

The Garrett at the 4 comments have me wondering.

There are a lot of 4's, who he will not be able to guard 1 on 1.

I appreciate the zone comments, but I still wonder.

            Turn your sarcasm meter on...

They do seem to have a little problem with small mid-western schools who take buy-games.

Where will the Final 4 be held this year?

I want to make my hotel reservations.

I would call that report as bullish.

              Defensive monster?

When was the last time we had a defensive monster?

I don't know the last time we had a defensive monster, but the last time we had a great shot blocker was Antoine Carr, with a career record of 209. That's a record that could be in jeopardy.

                  A. Carr was so enforcing on his shot blocking, that the ball sometimes would be smashed and rejected clear up into the stands. With EO, let's hope that most of his blocks stay in play for our quick on quick guards to grab and produce points on our end of the court.

Mark it down, July 14 11:20 pm......that's as negative a response as you're ever likely to get from forevershockerfan when it comes to discussing past player.

                    :D

Forget Viagra, that sports report will surely make the collective shocker compass point north!!

All this news sounds like the BB Marketing Department is doing a great job in generating enthusiasm for ticket holders prior to season. (Hopefully the team will perform better than the Chiefs & Royals have done after their marketing campaign promises)
                            Time will tell.

Sounds to me like someone that's excited, close to the program, and been working these kids out. The buzz with the coaching staff is real and two 7 foot freshmen with contrasting styles is enough to get everybody hyped.

The difference is: we don't have the Glass Family or Carl Peterson running things around here.
