I'm not that interested in arguing with the rest of what you have to say since I think everyone else has summed it up pretty well. But to act like the guy who is going to either be the NBA MVP or the runner-up would ride the bench is just nonsense. And I fully understand you're trying to make a comment about the defense in the NBA and his in particular... but if Harden were our 3 guard he'd be the best defender on our team this year. That's not a knock on Cotton or Baker or whoever. The most elite players in the NBA are just leaps and bounds better than college basketball players. This is his sixth season in the NBA... the guy would play 40 minutes at every college and carry any team seeded 12th or higher to the final four.

But at some point I would like guys to be recognized more broadly than just the effort thing. At some point, people need to realize/admit that Zach Brown is just plain better at basketball than Oubre. He can't jump quite as high. Maybe. Even the cool hair thing is a wash. Next year will prove it out, for both parties.

I definitely would never believe a player like orube or whatever his name is would be recruited by Gregg Marshall. That had to be the lamest attempt at hustle I have ever seen. Do that on a Marshall team and you either learn lightning worm-hole quick to NEVER do that again...or you will be a casualty and be given your walking papers.
