Sounds like the last year of Smithson's regime too. There weren't enough players to participate 5 on 5 sometimes.

Speaking of the Smithson years. They contained probably the most well-known (and sometimes most controversial) walkon in WSU history.

        Craig Steven.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Nothing would have ever been controversial, had he not been given a scholarship. Nevertheless, I think Craig did well, especially since he started as a walk-on.

                There's no shame in being a walk-on.

My information is that Brett Burley will not be returning. I understand he is going to transfer to a smaller school in Washington state. He and his family live in the Vancouver, Canada area.

In June the Eagle reported he visited Div-2 Western Washington and will visit other schools.

Well, I guess the Caped Crusader can cross Canada off of his list of potential flag-capes.
Deep in the heart of couldn't give a crap about college basketball-land and I miss the SHOX.
