I think the NCAA is going to really come down on USC and declare Mayo ineligible next year and charge him a year of eligibility to boot.

That'll show USC that they can't just repeatedly have their athletes taking money from prospective agents.

Can't punish USC more than that. There's obviously no issues of institutional control. Nothing to see here. Keep moving along. Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink.

I wouldn't expect the NCAA to do anything more to USC over the Mayo situation than they did over the Reggie Busch situation. The NCAA's rules don't apply to the USCs.
