Best of luck to Wendell for his remaining time in basketball and for the future.

I always enjoyed his defense and I really respected him based on the reports that he worked hard in practice even though he did not get much playing time.

Plus, I believe he was the last member of the Sweet 16 team. Thank you for your contributions, Wendell!

I wish Preadom luck. I hope he feels good to be a Shocker. I hope he knows that there are good fans :good: as well as bad fans. :( As a public figure, someone will love you and someone will hate you. ;-)

I want to thank Wendell for all he has done for WSU Basketball. I believe he has worked hard in practice and in the games he played in as well as represented WSU well in the community. I wish him the best in the future.

So what is coach gonna do with his scholarship?

Better yet, where is Wendell going to go? It would almost have to be a D2 wouldn't it?

D2 or NAIA you would think, assuming he still wants to play.

Best of luck to this good man. Maybe he can team up with RB. Not a bad place to be.

Wendell always conducted himself in a first class manner, and as others have said his defense was always good. He'll make a fine addition to Newman or wherever he ends up.

Good luck Wendell. As others have said--once a Shocker, ALWAYS a Shocker.

DaShox, I'm not sure what your point is but I really find it odd you seem to be celebrating....I'm just not sure why.

I'll be happy to stand alone in the room for the people not at all happy with this. Our success is not going to be decided by our 13th player. I understand our goals, and I have a pretty good idea how we are going to get there, but frankly some things (to me) are more important.

Wendell did everything asked of him, was a model student athlete and a damned good kid who, in my humble opinion, deserved to finish out his career at Wichita State.

WP, I wish you all the best in where ever life takes you and from the bottom of my Shocker heart, thank you for all you did for WSU.

                  Good Luck!

Now, as far as I am concerned, we sure as hell better make this one count.

I somewhat agree with the Dr.

Just like the senior leadership Cam and Nick provided on the practice floor for our '06 S16 team, Preadom could of done much of the same this year.

But a lead role on the practice squad almost too much to ask someone who's already spent 3 years fighting for a spot in the starting lineup.

                    Good luck, Wendell.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

I'm with Doc as well. I'd said long ago that I didn't want him run off being a SR. I hope the kid has a great life as I've never heard anything bad about him other than his outside shot.

I will admit that for the past month or so I've figured Wendell was gone based off of comments, or lack there of from the program. Hopefully Marshall lands a big time transfer. If we don't...

You guys may have some inside info. I do not. You are assuming that he was run off. I understand that may very well be the case, but isn't it possible that he mighta said, "Coach, if that's all the PT I'm gonna get, I'm outa here."

from an outsider's perspective, this departure seems odd. according to one of the posts, this guy is senior.

so, he's giving up the final year of a free ride? he's leaving the team in a lurch with one less scholarship player (not that he should feel burdened by that). so he did not play that much, he's still got three years D1 experience. i would find it hard to swallow that marshall has encouraged his departure. its not like he can find and sign a stud this late in the recruiting season.

seems odd, but i guess he's got his reasons

Since no one knows why he left, it is all speculation. There would be no reason for coach to run him off if he wasn't going to fill the scholarship. Maybe WP didn't want to be #13 or even 14 or 15 behind walk-ons, which he really was this season. He can transfer to another D1, sit out a year, then finish or go D2 and play right away.

But if he wasn't practicing with the team, for whatever reason, then there is no reason to keep him on scholarship here.

I also find it odd that DaShox seems to be celebrating this.
